Anyone else watching this? Best show I've see since Breaking Bad ended. The acting is fantastic, by its very nature it always keeps you guessing, and while not really scary it is incredibly weird & creepy. I'm sensing some Lovecraftian things going on as well and while there's nothing overtly supernatural, I kind of hope it goes that way.

Its only an 8 episode anthology series and I think 6 episodes have aired to date. Next season will not have McConaughey or Harrelson in it, but lets hope they get some other big names involved.

Episode 4 has a really neat action segment with zero cuts in it that must have been a ***** to film, too. Reminded me a bit of the last such scene in Children of Men. You should watch this show, as there is literally nothing better on.

The wife and I have seen the first 5 eps. It's definitely good and the acting is great. I was not aware that McConaughey or Harellson would not be in the next season, which makes me sad. They really make the show.

Also, for those not aware, this is on HBO, so many people might not have immediate access to it without HBO Go.

A friend of mine is pestering me for a couple of weeks now that I should watch it. But then I'd have to postpone Dr. Who again. Smiley: frown Decision, decisions.

I came across it last weekend and got sucked in. So I've only seen the one episode. It was good. Woody rarely does anything that's not. (Though I also watched Free Birds this weekend.)

I've been watching it. Seems pretty good so far, though I see potential for the rails to come off at the end like "The bridge" did. I'm hopeing they avoid that though.

Well, doesn't seem like anything supernatural is going on.

Which is actually more terrifying.

Last episode was pretty good. Acting was some of the best it's been all season. Will be very sorry to see Woody and Matthew go.

I don't know if I'm dissatisfied because of the "happy" ending itself, because the main two characters won't be back for another season, or because what seemed like a really cool serial killer/conspiracy actually ended up as just a psycho inbred hick with the conspiracy aspect "unproven".

Loved the series as a whole though.

I didn't know that Matthew and Woody wouldn't be back, either. But that makes sense now, given how the series ended.

Loved it and here's hoping next season will be just as good.

Yeah, I wasn't too happy with the way The Bridge ended either, but I'll be watching this season.

I liked it, for the most part.

I really think that this show should have been 9 or even 10 episodes. My biggest issue is that the pacing in the first 5 or 6 episodes is very deliberate, and sets a kind of tone with the show, but I think that they ran out of space to tell the rest of the story after they finished with the flashbacks. For example, it just felt very rushed to me how fast Marty and Rust's present-day reunitement takes place. I get that a large part of the pacing comes from the present-day interview interspersed with the flashbacks, and so the catching-up to present day removes that mechanic. I just thought that everything comes together a bit quickly at the end, and that an additional episode to stretch it a bit could have been beneficial.

I was out and missed the start of the last episode. What I saw was pretty intense though. I'll probably not bother staying with it if Woody and Matt aren't leading it.

I watched Mudd last night, also starring Matthew McConnaughy. He was looking really buff and really hot as Mudd.

I've not bothered to look into next season, but on the radio they were saying the rumor for next season is Brad Pitt could be one of the detectives.
