Hajime no Ippo: Already an interesting fight with Itagaki. He's not accustomed to being shut down like that, and I'm curious on whether he'll be able to get out of it.

Apparently Bleach is back, and didn't waste any time going nowhere at all. Well, I guess the whole "we were here all along" reveal could be considered going somewhere.
Naruto was about the same. In that it didn't really go anywhere.
And not to be outdone, One Piece didn't go anywhere either, but it did reveal just how creepy Bartolomeo is. I like that one of the more powerful characters in the tournament isn't actively trying to kill one of the main characters, though he probably will in the end. Drillhead is grateful and Don Flamingo is an extremist, neither of which was all that surprising.

Well, at least we're not actually gonna have to sit through a half dozen chapters of Ichigo lounging around in the human world waiting for the fight to begin. Though now we're probably going to see his friends come to Soul Society with their ticket things and become collateral damage / hostages.

Naruto: Big Bad using his big attack. Im guessing everyone is going to get stuck in this "dream" but Sasuke will see through it or something, since hes pretty useless atm.
Bleach: Ice kids 'fight'. I can already see this is going to be each captain fighting 1v1 ala tournament style until near the end where we'll get some story progression. Kind of to be expected
InB4 Lolgaxe grumbles about his week be thrown off because early releases.
Naruto: It's like playing Final Fantasy ... 5 ... I think it was 5, and finding out the last boss is a ******* tree. You're fighting dragons and evil knights and monsters ten times your size and ferocity and suddenly you're fighting a goddamn shrub. I expect Sakura to just stand around because she's the second most useless female in a manga ever, and I'm not surprised that's all Sasuke seems to be doing as well, after all that build up a few chapters ago.
Bleach: Tournament fight, I expect Kenpachi to finally show up. Both of them. And it'll be more badass than not going to congress about an airstrike. That's really all I'm holding out for as far as Bleach is concerned.
One Piece: Flashbacks and character building. Mixed bag, Xena Warrior Princess is more Vivi than Robin. Admittedly, I'm kind of curious what is going on. I'm guessing it's revisionist history, in that the old king before Flamingo was actually a good guy but it was manipulated to him being a badguy. So ... I guess it's kind of like Alabasta all over again. Or not. Can't really predict which direction this stuff goes in sometimes.
Itagaki is getting beaten, Toriko is going further than One Piece does with weird, and Shaman King Flowers is introducing new characters left and right with each chapter.
Now if you'll excuse me I'll be checking my Marvel/DC comics pages and wondering why they weren't updated yet and forgetting it's actually Tuesday.

Puppet Soldier is probably the old King, and the girl's mother was once of his mistresses. Doflamingo strikes me as a guy to keep the old ruler around in case he needs info or a scapegoat. Something goes bad in the kingdom, turn the Soldier back into a human and blame it on him.
I also think that moonlight reveals the true form of the toys, that's why they had to go to a separate building at night.

Bleach: Captains show up one at a time to show the fruits of their labors one chapter at a time, only for the fights to be continued for several more chapters as more and more powerful Captains show up to repeat the process. Still betting the Kenpachis show up at the end to steamroll.
Naruto: In a stunning reversal of roles, Sasuke actually does something while Naruto kvetches. That should last all of half a chapter.
One Piece: Ha ha, psych. No One Piece.
Hajime no Ippo: That was ... quick. I was kind of expecting more chapters, but that was probably the best way to counter someone like Itagaki. Short but sweet.

Fairy Tail: Did not see that coming. I thought Atlas had bones and such, but apparently he is purely made out of flames.
But I got the Natsu part right! I didn't really see Atlas coming either, but I'm blaming the whole time travel thing on that.
It only worked because it happened to be Atlas, and Natsu had already added Atlas' fire to his power list. If it was anything else it would have either not worked, with the External Flame being stronger than Natsu's, or that beating it with the one-eyed monster (heh) puts the remaining flame out.

One Piece: Well we all called it, so yay us. Also the fact that Vivi is technically a World Noble is a nice reveal. Naruto: Just what the Naruto universe needs, easily manipulated Emo Super Madara. Also we called Sasuke using the Snake Sages power, so yay us again. Bleach:

Liked Brook's tactic, Naruto couldn't be more of an asspull if it were written by Kubo. Seriously, Sasuke just happens to know how to access sage powers. Just like that. **** this ****., and Bleach was totally Burning Finger. Standard power level tug-of-war. Maybe another chapter of defense before the next tier show up. Still betting it's Kenpachi with Bankai.

To be fair he did have some access to them before with his curse mark, and he's stealing the curse power from Jugo so it's not fully Sage mode.

I'll be honest, I don't remember that ever happening, or rather I don't remember Jugo's power basically giving access to Sage Mode. I remember him using the cursed seal, though. I mean, if it did happen then at least it was a little planning so a little less asspully. That would at least put it in line with other Naruto asspulls, and not epic Kubo levels.
As an another aside, it's not Tuesday. Scramble to catch up on comics now.
