Mangareader usually seems to have their jump releases before mangastream anyway, and I'd kind of lost faith in them after they dropped Toriko. <3 that series, it really needs more love from the translaters, the anime always ends up sitting raw for 4-5 days after it airs, and the manga's always at the tail end of the releases, if they even remember to do it
Random side note, my avatar is inspired by randomly stumbling across the rocky horror page on TVtropes, and discovering that, not only is there a japanese dub, but in said dub? Dr. Frank N Furter is voiced by
Also ******* Brad ******* is done by kakashi.

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!
I wonder how much longer mangareader will last before it goes the way of OneManga...

I like what Red Hawk Scans posted when they got a DMCA email for Bakuman and Beelzebub.
Red Hawk Scans wrote:
Some of you may have anticipated this development after the recent events at Mangastream, but we are sad to report that Red Hawk Scanlations has received a DMCA notice of copyright infringement from Shueisha with regard to the Bakuman and Beelzebub series. We have no desire to pick legal battles, so we have removed the series in question from our servers and will no longer be providing access to them via our site effective immediately.
However, aggregate sites like Batoto will undoubtedly continue to distribute material as they please, independent of our actions here. The act of editing manga itself is not illegal, and we have no control over what is distributed on other servers. Meanwhile the Red Hawk site will continue to serve as a hub for updates and discussion as we continue to pursue our passions without engaging in the illegal distribution of these series.
In short, these series are not dropped, but they will not be found on our servers.
Pretty much they say "Oh okay we cant have it on OUR servers but we can still t/l it and other servers can host it no problem" I don't understand why Manga Stream decided to just drop the big 3 if it wasn't for those I wouldn't have even known about them. I mean they do t/l some other stuff I read, but it's mainly monthly releases that I forget about until I see it while checking for OP,Bleach, Naruto then I read it.
On another note whats up with all the longer shonen mangas ending soon(ish). Naruto is on its final bits it seems, Bleach is on its final arc (I know it COULD take along time but still), and Mahou Sensei Negima only has 3 chapters left and its over. As for OP I don't think that will ever end.

I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. The Big 3 have been around for a long time, it's just about time they started wrapping things up. In Naruto and Bleach's case, for example, they're running out of things they can do with the plot, without suddenly changing in-place rules. And I don't think even Kubo would pull something that flagrant.
One Piece has still managed to stay fresh despite being a decade long. I think it's because a lot of **** has happened - major character deaths, the massive timeskip.... And we still don't know what happened 800 years ago that caused the curent World Government to come into existance. One Piece is probably the most tightly structured narrative out of them all, with some of the most sympathetic and diverse characters. The over the top silliness and slapstick can get a little tiring, but then someone comes from behind and does something awesome to make up for it.

I've always kind of found that the over the top silliness of one piece is part of what saves it from the otherwise typical shounen pitfalls; even when it's serious and heavy stuff, like the war in marineford arc, the story never takes itself to seriously, the way naruto and bleach often do. Hell, it didn't take much time at all after Ace's and then Whitebeard's deaths for Buggy to start being obnoxious and laughed at again. Oda's got a really amazing sense of dramatic and especially comedic timing.
I also like the way he handled the first post timeskip arc on fishman island, Hardcore Villains and the heirs of Arlong's will, the New Fishmen Pirates, attempt a coup and try to take down the straw hats for revenge while they're at it. Cue the newly powered up strawhats, even usopp and nami, absolutely curbstomping them. It's a pretty nice change considering how they pretty much spent the last few arcs before hand getting their asses handed to them and barely pulling out wins, if they managed to pull them out at all.
I can absolutely see myself enjoying one piece, which Oda himself said a couple years ago was about half over, for another decade. He set up that damn world so well that I wouldn't be shocked if One Piece ends up Discworld-esque in size by the time it finishes

It's also the best world for running a tabletop RPG :) Roll a critical during character building and get a devil fruit related to that trait!
So....where the **** did Ivan come from? The scene in Ichigo's room went from silly banter to..."Oh btw, you never told us your name" and all of sudden a dude appears on his bed- yet Ichigo was talking to him like he was already there.
Am I missing pages, getting a bad translation, or is it just really bad story telling (again!)?

Roll a critical and you get a logia/rare zoan/awesome paramecia (ie: luffy, whitebeard), roll **** and you get the weird **** like foxy's fruit or that one CP9 chick whose name I've forgotten but used soap bubbles...
yea,

It's Kubo, c'mon guys. It's obvious that he used shunpohirenkyakusonidobringer light newplotrelevantversionofteleportstep to sneak up on them. Obviously, he came from the future tokyo, and that's not actually a hollow mask, it's just a regular mask to cover up his tattoo. Seriously, compare the two pics.
Alternatively, he's another vasto lorde arrancar secretly kept in reserve as a failsafe in case aizen some how did lose his big xanatos gambit, proving once and for all that kubo aizen is the king of *** pulls xanatos gambits

Fairy Tail's Boob Battle is enjoyable. I especially like that it was logical, which seems to be a concept missing in a lot of shounen manga. Excluding One Piece, because the whole purpose of One Piece is almost entirely aimed at being illogical ... and even it ends up being more logical than Bleach. "An enemy that uses hair to attack? Hey, I have an attack (or summon, in this case) that is almost specifically about cutting hair! I'll actually use that!" I like that.
Also nice that after crap female characters like Sakura and Orihime, we have females that aren't there to just be plot devices. All hail Nami and Lucy.
Oh, and my answer to all Plot Related Bleach Questions is always "probably an asspull."

Before tomorrow's chapter, and I'll just edit this post after reading them and being disappointed by Bleach, I was thinking about Naruto and Tobi to be specific. Now, Kabuto summoned all the famous and powerful ninja for their side, correct? Well, I haven't seen Kakashi's father yet. He was supposed to be a pretty big deal with little to no actual information out about him. Wild speculation on my behalf, of course. Just sayin'.

Hatake Sakumo made an appearance when Kakashi was dead. The father and son had a little chat, the relevant jist being that Sakumo came off as a nice guy and reached closure with Kakashi. He's a good character and therefore can't be main villain, not even main villain with perverted means toward benevolent goals.
I'd be quite impressed if Kishimoto manages to reveal anyone that would make me think I should have known all along. It'll be an asspull, but I think the most probable candidates are: Izuna Uchiha, some other Uchiha, or a remnant of the 10 tails chakra possessing someone.
Was that supposed to be Ginjo as an arrancar? I don't want to go back and check the necklace, but I thought it was a cross, and not five prong. Either way, he's just merging crap left and right.
Yeah, okay, I forgot about the death scene memory with Kakashi, but I was more referring the current all out war going on. He's one of the figures that seems to be missing. I think it is more likely that the ten tails is just the other eight beasts merging with the nine tails and being the super saiyan mode necessary for Naruto to defeat Tobi.

I don't know what the @#%^ is going on in Bleach right now.

This is, indeed, a Quincy arc. The number floating around Japan is an estimate of 5 years.
