Now. I'll make a whole different thread for what books we'll read. This one is for how we'll discuss it.

I'm leaning towards two "official" threads for book discussion a week. Of course, you are more than welcome to post a thread about it on your own for what ever reason. I'm thinking Monday and Thursday?

We may not even need "official" book threads. We can just decide on a book, read it, and post as we see fit. Seeing as how this is practically my first venture into books, I'm sure I'll have plenty of ideas and thoughts to share with you, and you all know I don't hesitate to tell you folks what's on my mind

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Would like to point this forum out, since it enjoys some traffic from posters not on this board.

AHA!!! But that would make too much sense, Illia. And besides, we really don't want all those "educated" people to critique the books we read. That would mean "intelligent" conversation, and I don't think the Queen will allow it.

On another note, I say we start with something I have already read, basically because I'm lazy. That, and when we get to the second-to-last chapter, I can just say stuff like, "well he dies anyways!", or something like "well it's not like they actually get together!" I just love to be a plot spoiler -=).

So let me get this straight. Someone chooses a book, and we all have to read it? You realize you'll have to give me at least two weeks notice, as our library here blows.

And what is this chapter a week thing and no reading ahead that I saw on the other thread? Are you kidding? I read several chapters a day, baby.

P.S. I don't read Westerns or hard core Fantasy. Or non-fiction. Or non-fiction westerns steeped in fantasy.

I posted over on the Science Fiction and fantasy forum, and am giving them a chance to read it and come over here before I start up the thread where we decide what we'll read.

How 'bout erotic novels? That'd get things off to a roaring start. Though I suppose it would be damn near impossible to enforce the 'no reading ahead' rule.

Then again, there's probably enough ************ around here already anyway.

How about post-apocalyptic fantasy horror detective mysteries in haiku style?

Hell, Smash probably has read all of those.

I'm finishing "Years of Salt and Rice," but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
