Anyone considering trying this out? I was talking to a friend who is in closed beta and he mentioned that all the graphics in the screenshots posted all over the place are at the lowest resolution, apparently that can't be changed until the game goes live.

Never heard of the game. :(
Warhammer has been a blast in the closed beta. I have enjoyed it immensely. If you like PvP then this game is just going to thrill you with that aspect. If you like PvE and being able to play solo and do a lot of things then this game is going to thrill you too. There are so many things from different MMOs that are pulled together successfully in Warhammer Age of Reckoning. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Yep, WAR actually stands for Warhammer Age of Reckoning. Just like WoW is World of Warcraft and LOTRO is Lord Of The Rings Online, etc, etc, etc. lol

i'm in the closed beta for warhammer and its an amazing game, definitely going to be playing it full time once it goes live.

We do have a vent. This guild is well established across multiple games, we are playing destruction (there will be an order guild established at some point in the future just to fool around on), and no...that jade is not babyjade. Funny thing is that in every game I have played since I quit FFXI I end up with a Jade in the guild. lol
we'll see what happens. atm the guys i'm with now are really cool.

honestly most games on the market are a big departure from FFXI. no other game takes so long to get to the level cap and no other game is *only* soloable(save for a handful of classes) at the extreme lowbies.

Isn't that the freaking truth. It's understandable when you look at FF as a whole but really a pain in a mmo.

exactly which is why i can never go back to ffxi. i don't mind putting in the work to level/gear a job but when it takes a fucking year or more just to hit the level cap? fuck that shit.
