I just wanted to give any Sky linkshell a warning. Tonight my LS popped Despot and used the pond to kite around. Apparently the LS Hale didn't like that too much and positioned each of their members around the pond so we were unable to efficiently kite. Needless to say Despot finally went unclaimed and Hale proceeded to steal it. Real mature guys, good ******* job.

Dartanion, I'm sorry your linkshell needs to resort to stealing to get their Sky triggers, maybe you guys should grow up and respect other linkshells. Last time I checked this was 2008, I didn't think that **** even happened anymore.

**** you dude.

Yeah, Hale is weak sauce. Dartanion, Fritzz, Elijahwon, Allbireo, Clownkiller, Felicix, Raybo, Nevill, Ultralite, Lordmalachi and anyone else who participated in that pathetic MPK are all royal **** bags, in my eyes. We watched a RDM solo Despot around that Lake a couple weeks ago and we all stood a respectful distance away and let him go. You guys could use a lesson in class.

You know what pisses me off in Sky? When I'm on BST trying to spawn Despot solo and some jerk from another LS follows me around waiting for it to pop so they can steal it.

There's a big difference between:

a) When a party/alliance/soloist fails to defeat a certain mob because there's not enough man power etc which causes party/alliance/soloist to wipe, the mob becomes unclaim and someone else gets it.

and

b) When a certain LS or LS's intentionally and blantantly block the kite path of another LS which causes deaths/wipe so that they can steal the mob that is being kited.

I don't care if you claim the mob from us because of our own lack of manpower (meaning us wiping because of our own fault), but the method your LS used to steal the mob which caused us few deaths in our small party, was just plain disrepectful.

By the way, one of your LS members (whom I know and was present at that time)agreed with me on what you did is uncool and disrespectful.

Your post sounds like your speaking directly to someone in Hale? None of them have posted in this topic nor probably ever will even notice it...?

I personally stopped doing Despot on bst cause I had people chasing him around waiting for him to go yellow, AND i had other people in the same ls killing any flamingo they could find. Happened multiple times before the patch and I have yet to bother with him since they changed his spawn pattern. Stacking the odds against me that much is just painful to waste the time on, but really hilarious watching them voke it when I cfh.

Just being super picky lol, but Despot pops claimed to the person who killed the Groundskeeper. So maybe they follow you around waiting for you to die, then claim it. But there really is no way for them to claim it away from you if you killed the groundskeeper.

The only thing I am not sure of is if your pet gets the kill and then you dismiss it or whatever the he11 you BST's do, maybe then it goes unclaimed, but I'd think you'd have gotten in 1 hit at least by then to lock hate on to you.

And yes, ppl who stand in the way are phail. Wait a distance away for me to die and then claim it when it goes yellow, I'm cool with that. Don't get in my @#%^ing way. Suppose there will always be morons.

I have no difinitive data to back this up, but I have personally witnessed on at least 10-15 occasions, my group killing one at a time and some other group pulling 5-6 at a time, we got pop every time. I dont think it has to do with how many you kill, just timing. So keep at it!

Yea you are correct that Despot will spawn claimed to the person that killed the Groundskeeper. There are 2 ways in which a bystander can get the claim.

1) If the Groundskeeper does that self destruct move, and it kills a BST pet, Despot will spawn in the hall in the spot where you pulled the Groundskeeper from.

2) Any time you swap pets, the mob you are fighting becomes unclaimed. Despot kills a Flamingo in about 6~8 hits, so that's pretty often.

What you want to do is spawn Despot far enough away where you have enough pets to take him down and hopefully nobody will notice you are even fighting it. otherwise it's just going to get stolen.

On another note, the last time I was up there, I was in Sky for 10 hours and the ******* never spawned.

Interestingly enough I know almost all of the ppl listed in this. not very well mind u. Think we were all in Astralplane together? If i recall correctly clownkiller was forming a second ls for that for sky runs and such so if its still the same group i'd assume they'd have some association with astralplane still.
On a side note no one in astral plane ever struck me as being rude ppl there seemed nice enough.

Zaknafien from Hale LS steals loot from any drop runs

he will wait for everyone to lot and try to win with his own lot.. careful if u invite him along for runs such as Nyzul Isle

EDIT (May 22,2008):

edited to add the whole run down since some said i should..
Nyzul Isle run was part LS, like 4/6 including me were from the same LS.. we shouted for the last 2 including Zaknafien.. and before we entered we each chose which gear to lot.. Zaknafien wanted Denali.. we win and Askar drops.. being the stupid me i passed while my LS member who hosted the run was supposed to get the Askar.. well Zaknafien waited till everyone passed then lotted and won.. after that we called GM for the hell of it but yeah they dont do anything.. so if ya bring him along just make sure he passes first.

Thanks for the heads up. Any data to back it up or at least other people who can corroborate the story? Who was running the event, was it private, when was it, what items did he try to steal?

This is going to be one big post. I will try to split it up and make it as coherent and logical as I can.

Nevill decided to contact me in game today. I guess I am the judge in this case?
This is our conversation.

One color is me, the other him.

Nevill>> want someone to corroborate the hale story, they wiped, we took the mob
>>Nevill: hey, not like im the judge, im just being objective on the forums
>>Nevill: my opinion is when something is brought to the public forums the public takes it from there...it's a beast
>>Nevill: unto itself
Nevill>> I know, it sucks
Nevill>> just know, 100% is onesided, so don't form opinions from those stories
Nevill>> I know you read about my brother stealing joyeuse as well, lol, and he did
Nevill>> I cursed him out, and he said only reason he did was because same people stole from him before
Nevill>> lol, ok
>>Nevill: huh?
Nevill>> mt, lol
>>Nevill: oh
>>Nevill: ok
>>Nevill: text flying past screen, not really reading too much
>>Nevill: ah, just realized you are a member of hale..
Nevill>> yea, exactly
>>Nevill: well the first poster said you guys stood around the pond blocking
>>Nevill: ?
Nevill>> not true
Nevill>> here is what they were doing
Nevill>> mistake 1: kiting in a zigzag pattern
Nevill>> I was in the very corner away from the pond so I could cast without aggro
Nevill>> mistake 2: Kiting in Scorpion Harness
Nevill>> SH is not gonna help you evade a machinegun panzerfaust
Nevill>> mistake 3, prolly the dumbest: Not keeping bio on it so it would not come unclaimed
Nevill>> they were being noobs, and it bit them in the ***
>>Nevill: k well even if bio came off, and they were still alive, as you suggested..that implies claim stealing,
>>Nevill: does it not
Nevill>> they were down
Nevill>> the mob aggroed our pld, that is how he targeted for flash
Nevill>> so, that is not claim stealing
Nevill>> oh, and another thing that should give you an idea of a level of intelligence, they named people not even
in our linkshell
>>Nevill: were they there with you in your group
Nevill>> no
>>Nevill: were they there
Nevill>> possibly in the area, but noone knows them, I never saw the guy
>>Nevill: k
>>Nevill: why didn't you ever post this stuff on the forum and defend your LS?
Nevill>> 1: not gratifying them with a response, 2: I just read the forums, not even a alla member

That was the entire conversation verbatim right down to the capitalization of letters. On a side note. How do you screenshot when in windowed mode? Can you even?

Now I'm going to sum it up with no opinions just yet. Just simply the facts.

1. Nevill contacts me asking if I wanted someone to corroborate the story.
2. My response was my way of saying why are you messaging me about this.
3. I went on to describe my opinion of the public domain and the free for all nature once an issue is presented there. If you don't want the publics opinion on something then don't bring it there.
4. Nevill said don't form opinions based on what is said because it is 100% one sided.
5. States he knows I read about the issue with his brother stealing Joyeuse and confirms his brother did do that.
6. Reprimanded his brother and said brother's stated reason was that they had stolen from him before.
7. Nevill sent an MT.
8. I stated I wasn't paying too much attention due to battle text.
9. I stated I just realized he was a member of Hale LinkShell.
10. I quoted first poster in this thread who said they were standing around blocking.
11. Nevill says that is false and lists 3 mistakes they made.
12. States that they were kiting in a zigzag pattern.
13. States he was in a corner to avoid aggro.
14. Says kiter was wearing a Scorpion Harness.
15. States they were not keeping bio up on the target.
16. I stated an discrepancy I noticed in that even if bio had come off and they had claimed, it was still claim stealing.
17. Nevill says by that time they were already wiped.
18. Nevill says the target aggroed their Paladin and not the other way around.
19. Nevill stated that some people named were not even in their Alliance.
20. I questioned whether they were in their group.
21. Nevill says no.
22. I questioned whether they were there.
23. Nevill says possibly but no in his Alliance knows them and he didn't see them in the immediate area.
24. I questioned why he never posted on the forum.
25. Nevill says because he didn't want to gratify them and he is not a member of Alla and just found it now.

Now here is my own personal opinion on the subject.

Someone here is lying. The facts aren't even slanted in each case towards one side or another. They are straight up changed.

One side says the target was stolen while it went unclaimed and the other side says the team wiped and the target aggroed one of their own.

One side says they were being prevented from kiting it and the other side says the team doing the kiting was doing it improperly and cites what I would consider some differences in playing style.

One side says some members were all together while the other side says they don't even know those members nor were they present.

I'm going to start with the kiting one first. Stating that it's wrong to kite in a SH and that they should have made sure to keep bio up at all times is just plain silly. I've stated numerous times that people have their own play styles. If they want to run around in a bronze subligar then let them. That doesn't contribute in anyway to them being wrong and you being right.

As to the actual kiting. We're they running in an obvious straight line from one point to another around the area which would cause a zigzagging motion, or were they zigzagging because there were people in their way...

As per the claim stealing, one side is obviously lying about it. Now that two stalwart dissertations have been established, simply by finding out which of the two is incorrect will solve the entire issue.

As per people being accused who were not even there. I'm at a loss as to how names could appear if they were not there. Maybe someone just did a /sea of the area and wrote everyone down who was not with them. Is it a big area? I don't even know what zone it's in. Perhaps someone just took everyone in a party who wasn't with them and lumped them together when the others they speak of may very well have been grouped together doing something independent elsewhere.

I haven't even addressed the joyeuse thing yet. That's despicable. The fact that he was so immature as to do it as a revenge motive makes it even worse. Player deserves to be publicly crucified. If it was my brother I would have made him drop the item in front of my eyes. He doesn't deserve it and I'm sure plenty of others will agree. Everyone is different though. You handled the situation as you saw fit.

And at this point I'm so worked up and since I stated at the beginning of this section that I am stating my opinion now I don't give a sh*t about remaining objective in this portion. If you're brother, Nevill, was willing to pull something like that, then, I wouldn't put it past you to be the one at fault in your own situation. The very fact that you are embroiled in a situation yourself of such high magnitude adds weight to that theory. The actions of your brother are something the likes of which have not been seen in a long time. Stealing, not just from a random group of people but from the people who's LinkShell he was in. It's because of people like him why there are now a average of 1300 people on the server at any given time down from the average of 4000 of what it used to be.

In the future to anyone who reads this, don't bring you're problems to me from the forum. I don't give a fuck. I may post on the forum, but that doesn't mean I give a sh*t what you have to say while I'm playing in game. Post it on the forum if you have a message that you care that badly about. Believe me, I'll see it eventually.

I leave this here for anyone to pick at as they please. It will not be edited save for grammatical, spelling and typo errors

Wow, that's ********* Hale gridlocked us, end of story. Our tank lost hate because he died, and as soon as it went yellow, and they grabbed it. He died NOT because of lack of skill, but because their members spaced themselves nicely around the pond, causing us to stall when we run into them. The zigzagging comes from Hale being in the friggin' way.

Of course they won't own up to stealing it, they'll look bad. Besides, why would I make **** up about people I don't even know? Sorry, that's not how I roll. If we wiped due to our own faults, then big deal, our loss, but that's not the case here.

I'm going to say what Sageo said before...

People were in our way when we were kiting Despot around the pond...hence the zigzagging..

We've done this strategy before when we had low numbers and we've had no problems. The difference was, nobody was blocking our kite path.

Lastly, I know 7 out of the 10 mentioned names are/were Hale members.

Where to begin with this one...

- The names listed were the ones we could recall offhand while we were all eating dirt waiting to get raised. I don't know about everyone else that was up there with us, but I was a little too busy dodging people around the pond to take down a complete list of names.
- The SH kiter was most likely myself, it's part of my evasion setup which I macro in every time I'm tanking/kiting something. And since Third Eye'll eat one or two Panzerfaust anyways before I'm out of range of the rest, I fail to see what the point of that comment was.
- As has already been stated by both Fire and Sageo, the zigzags came from weaving through everybody in our path.
And I'd like to see him keep Bio on a mob when you're trying to keep kiters healed because some f*cks won't get out of your way.

BleedTheSky, thank you for the advice I will keep an eye on them on my time on sky, and here is a recommendation for your ls, if a similar situation happens.

Make a GM call: Path obstruction on Ru'Aun Gardens.

My wife and me use to duo despot for our own triggers and more than once a group of rmt's was trying to do the same to us, GM will be there and take them off the way.

A GM was called but, well... when it takes them 15-20 minutes to respond and they tell you they can't do anything unless they witness it... it doesn't do much good.
