Looking to sell my Aristocrat's Coat, Healing Staff and Blue Cape +1. Prices are negotiable. Please contact me in game (char name Friedrich) or leave a reply here and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Gil is preferred, but I am interested in the following items: Vulcan's/Auster's/Terra's/Jupiter's/Apollo's Staves, a Forest Stone, and an Elemental Earring. <Take care!>

I hate to say this, but... when you say this, you are making yourself obvious what you may also accept. If that is not what you mean, you better edit what your post is. If that is really what you may be implying, be ready to be ... you know what.

#3Callinon, Posted: Mar 05 2008 at 8:53 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It sounds like he'll accept trades for those spendy items he mentioned, but you're right.... "gil is preferred" has some connotations that go along with it.

I really don't get RMT out of that post at all. I see "give me gil or trade me some items".

I'll rate you back up since someone seems to dislike you.

I agree with Annalise...he clearly states what the 'other' options are...

May be I am overly suspicious, but I do get taught to speak very precise and cautious (being a academia background). If you got to science conference or a court house, say something that is unclear, be ready be a tarutarupunt target x_X.

So I think it is good to be cautious what you do not mean especially RMT is a sensitive issue in MMORPG.

Evidentially someone thought I was suggesting the OP was offering some sort of RMT exchange instead of straight gearz'for'gilz. Let me be clear, I don't think the OP is offering anything of the sort.. My previous post was to point out that the language used in the original post is ambiguous on this matter and the connotations it contains imply such an assumption.

Once again, no, I don't assume the OP is a flaming ******.

What I get out of this is: He obviously wants to sell his Whm gear in order to be able to buy the items listed above.

He probably wants gil because it's the easiest way to buy the items he wants. He would probably be willing to accept some/all of the items mentioned in a trade, but how many people have those gears and are willing to trade them?

Trading items as a substitute for gil sucks. I'd much rather get gil up front for the item/s I was selling as well.

Thank you for pointing out that Amanduh is a total freakin idiot!!

If you aren't interested in buying anything, STFU and move along!!

If you hate to say it, then don't freakin say it at all! Cause nothing you say is worth reading anyways, has anyone ever just walked up to you and just punched you in the face as hard as they could Amanduh? I think you "may be" slightly retarded...

...you know what.

The end.

This does make sense. However, I'm more curious as to why someone from Cerberus would give a shit in the first place. o_O

I'll vouch for him. His name's Andy. Friend of mine and i've known him about a year or two. He's not RMT and used to run the following LS's on Bismarck: SesameStreetGangstas, PonyPrincessBrigade, and DrunkenChocobo. While i'm not happy that he's stripping his whm like this, meh, none of my business really.

For heaven's sake, it doesn't at all sound like he's wanting real money for his items. "Gil is preferred, but" ...list of items that are acceptable in trade. If he'd left it as "gil preferred" and didn't go on to list exactly what he would also accept, then the witch hunters would be right in being suspicious.

Suspicion in this day and age comes naturally to us, however reading comprehension should assuage it. Don't get so tied up in individual words that you miss the point of the sentence.

lol I been called many things in life, but RMT is one of my favorite. Sadly, all this attention to my ad hasn't resulted in the one thing I wanted to happen: A serious buyer for my gear :( Thanks for vouching for me Aluus, how you been anyway? And the reason I'm stripping WHM is so I can gear up RDM :D Later!
