To the people of Bismark,

Hello. My name is Mandar and I am here to say i have started a new RP linkshell.
Yes I know such a thing is hard in a game like FFXI, but i feel many people would
like to. Well here is your chance. Azure Knights is recruiting. If you have any questions /tell me in game or send me an e-mail:

Or check out our website, though it is still new.

Remember, this game is about fun, not about who has the best gear or how fast you can hit 75.

Then you don't have to join a roleplaying linkshell? Some people actually enjoy RPing on here and taking their time in getting to 75. Others don't. Whatever floats your boat, and so on and so forth.

Mandar, if you'd like some advice on how to make an RP LS work in the context of FF XI, please feel free to send me a PM on here. I've been GMing my own RP LS on Siren server for about two years now, off and on. It really is quite fun once you're able to get it going. We have a few complex plots going on at the moment, though I will admit, it is hard to get members (we have several regulars, though).

Well, this isn't to say that it can't be done, because it has been and I've had a direct hand in it, myself, in the past... but I will wish you luck with this. It's hard getting a good group of RPers together in FFXI, much less doing things regularly which will help sustain it around other activities people may have planned, such as endgame, not to mention work and school. When it can be run smoothly, though, it is a great deal of fun.

What I'm doing now to feed my craving for FFXI-related RP is maintaining a couple of characters on a text-based roleplaying game called Final Fantasy MUX. There are no pretty graphics, and it combines parts of other FFs into the same world, but it also offers a lot more of a flexible environment for RP. One of the characters I play there is Luzaf. I'm also the admin in charge of applications for FFXI-related characters.
