Economy: Basically everything is opposite the way it was a year ago. A Hauby is ~600k or so now. I direct you to ffxiah.com. You can look up all kinds of neat stuff concerning the AH and lots of other crap too.
Getting parties is about the same as it always was in my opinion. Just more people to pick from.
Anyway, welcome back! Nice to see some older players returning. Gotta school these PL'ed nO.Obs and tell them waht it was like back in the day... (Now I sound like an 80yr old talking to a teenager...)
Oh and a really cool thing is the Anniversary ring.

The economy is like it was on oct 29th 2003.. stack of silk is 10k and most crystals are like 800 gil a stack :p Kill the gilsellers and we have a great depression.
IMO the game is as great as ever though, heavily unbalanced yes, but it still grabs you till 4am just as strong as it ever did.
