Time to throw in my 2cents it's the same old story, let me make it clear as rain, if you have a problem with these so called gil sellers or gil buyers, keep it to yourself cause im kinda tired of seeing the forums oh rmt this gil seller that, all you do is complain yet I dont see you stepping up to do anything about it except cry about it waaaa who cares I play the game, you worry about gil sellers and buyers and be stressed out for nothing, worry about your life not about others thank you.

"It's not the drug dealers that are the problem. It's the people who buy drugs!"

Yeaaaaaaaaa. Ok.

RMT is in no way as serious an issue, but the same mentality is dumb.

To all you retards that obvivously havent read the entire thread and assume Jjay aka Postal has posted in this thread you're dead ****** wrong.

Read dip-sh|t, hook on phonics or something, the OP is Ihina.

You're all too quick to jump on someone from his actions of 2 years ago. Forgive and forget, look at the germans.

I don't happen to compartmentalize all Chinese speaking individuals as RMT, but as a crafter, I sure do know who they are specifically, and I have no clue what they speak since they never talk to me anyway. They just simply try to run me out of Qufim and undercut the prices of consumables by 50%-80%.

I am not a camper of NM's....but I get no joy or glee seeing what were once hard to obtain bazaarable drops for Walmart prices nowadays. Some think it's great---I just happen to see things drastically devalued.

I'm sure there are some real swell RMT's out there who have given out cures and raises, but the fact of the matter is....they are RMT. It's like saying the burglar who invaded your house and smashed up your place and stole your goods is a criminal for sure, however, he gave your car a jump when it wouldn't start...so they're ok...

Complacency is killing us. Blame the RMT, blame the buyers, the fact is they both exist. To invite them into your LS is a choice and should be voted on by the members, but even though they may be "the nicest people", think about why they are "so nice." To take advantage and usurp what they can for their own gain for their company when the time is right. Honestly, I may be a bit jaded, but I have to believe they are hysterical over knowing they were invited into an established NA LS.

Sometimes it helps to look at the concept being presented and not the severity of the two issues being compared. Just sayin.

if i still had an account i would log in just to pwn your *** for that statement...

To respond to the post, i know Arelios and all the members of Project Mayhem, well atleast the ones there while i played. I do not know about these chinese players allowed into teh shell however what i can say is that Arelios andthe Project Mayhem shell members are good people with honor and if they allowed them into the shell then i accept them.

this game failed in 1 major way, pvp should be all out in every area except inside of a city. you go outside you dont just risk mobs comingfor you but you have pc's coming at that would definately hamper the RMT problems right there. The game i play now is all pvp based, there are very very very few RMT's on the server and thats cause of 2 simple things. 1) the developers of the game banned all IP addresses originating in china/taiwan. 2) they opened a server for chinese/ tai only. keeps the majority of them off the server and when we do hapen to see them we ******* kill them and make them sit in stations twiddling their thumbs and costing them money.

Saw this on the main forum last night. Maybe this is why RMT's are acting so "decent" to true players of established HNM's. Maybe our NA LS's aren't aware of this, or maybe they are. Who knows, but I found this interesting.

XXXXXX understand your requirement, we are ceremonial starting an new business about the powerleveling of FFXI Item. we are cooperating with a lot of players which have highest accounts and advanced items and rich experience.

They will use your accounts in the process of againsting Boss and the advanced items will belong to you, may your days be bright with dreams come true. what you are waiting for? Let your accounts join our army !Let us launch into the fighting to against the Boss !

The awful grammar was hilarious, then I found the tentative pricing they are putting on items, most hilarious ones:

Earthen Abjuration:Body ------15Million Gil or $284.81
Ridill ------15Million Gil or $284.81

Byakko's haidate------ 20Million Gil or $379.75

I get a laugh out of the ones who hang out in my hang out. The Upper Jeuno
Auction House by the infirmiry. Everytime I log into one of my sales mules
I get a random message from one of them in chinese which I respond to in kind
sometimes.

But I think it is for the fact that my mules Zandera Zanderb Zanderc Zanderd
Zandere Zanderf confuse them.

I don't know maybe I'm just paranoid?

But they seem nice just the same..

Oh, hey, that was thsale.com, wasn't it?

Link posted so you all can go laugh your asses off at the ridiculous gil to dollars conversions and then be all "hmm, ridill for 15m is a good deal" and then realize they'll never get one and use your account as a HNM-killing slave.

That site makes me lol.

Most of the people who have no problem with RMT seem to be people who don't do end-game very much if at all. Try spending 12 hours in sky waiting on Ulli to pop only to have some RMT come out of nowhere and warp claim him. Then you call a GM and the GM does absolutley nothing about it so you just wasted 12 hours of your time for nothing. Go camp KB for 3 hours, get claim, take him down to 10%, only to have RMT steal him because he might turn yellow for a split second. After they claim they blatantly pos hack to kill him and again GM's do nothing. The only thing SE has ever done to remotley solve the RMT problem is to make it harder for them to MPK and even that was a half assesd effort.

For everyone who says, "If there were no gilbuyers then there would be no gilsellers." If SE would get rid of the RMT then there would be no gil to sell and no gilbuyers. As far as them getting every single claim on certain NM's it's not because they're "better" then everyone else, no matter how good you are at claiming you'll never get a claim on something every single time it pops.

there were two chinese who farmed gold orc masks in davoi forever. well one day i needed one of those masks for some quested gloves and i couldn't kill the mobs at the time.

so i asked them a few times {quest} {item} {mask} x 1 {can i have it} and just hung around healing/buffing them and whatnot. after a little while they invited me, and i kept running around with them til it dropped. they said OK {cast lots} and i said thank you and /wave goodbye.

maybe my help saved them enough bloody bolts that it was worth the lost gil to let me have it, maybe they wanted to be nice since i wasn't like other NA cursing and trying to MPK (this was before the patch). i don't know or care. i gave help and got help. that seems to be the most reliable strategy for getting along in this game, no matter who you are or why you play.

one thing to keep in mind is that people who buy gil pay high prices for things, and help keep those prices inflated. people who sell for higher prices than the market can support do not get thier items returned, but are instead gratified by gil buyers.

people who farm their own gil, or craft, buy/sell, etc, continually try to score the lowest prices on high ticket items. to buy SH+1 you don't just see them up at 4 million and pay 4 million. you see 4 million and yet today you are only up to 3.2 so you try 3.2. later on something else sells and you try 3.3. two days later the price is 3.6 and you nab it and /dance for /joy. but then you have like 12k gil and its time to sell teleports again for crafting money .__.

True, and to add because I don't really do end-game: Most of the people who have no problem with RMT seem to be people who don't craft consumables like cooking and alchemy.

Ok..."some" legit players do this, however in the consumables markets, look at the names, these are not legit players, these are RMT. Look at squid and sole sushi. Buy any prism powders and silent oils lately? Look at the history and read those names. Do it anytime, see a pattern?

Every veteran player seems to be walking around Aht Urgan, but have you stopped by Jueno lately? I feel like a stranger in this town and I'm literally surrounded by RMT botters and campers. I saw one legit player point them out in emotes, one by one at the AH. No legit player gave a damn, and they even said so. This is sad. We get infuriated if legit players camp on top of us, steal our mobs, examine us, or are just your basic jerks which can cause /tell and /shout wars. But hardly anyone on our server has the same basic core of hatred for these RMT bastards.

the reason for that is that a while back, we did harrass them continually, and we got put in "time out" by the gms, got suspended and/or were banned. SE took their side and jumps our asses everytime we did it.

I hate all gillbuyers and gillsellers. They are a cohesive unit, one would not exist without the other. I don't mind losing claim on a Behemoth or Fafnir to a legitimate LS, they are simply people playing the game as a hobby or for recreational fun. Gilsellers do this for money, and don't pull the "they are feeding their kids" horse crap, most of these people running two or three toons are prolly college kids using this for weed money. And how can I prove someone is a RMT? C'mon people, get smart. I don't need to see the friggin' receipts to figure it out. You know who they are, I know who they are. If you played this game 3 years plus and cannot figure it out yet you are mentally retarded.

And so a couple of these people are "nice." I'm sure Charles Manson held the door open for a few old ladies in his lifetime too, didn't make him Ok. Can't these people get a respectable job like I don't know, do dishes or mow a friggin' lawn or something? No, becuase this is probably alot easier money than any of those jobs. None of those jobs pay well where the majority of these people work, but this one you sit behind a computer as opposed to hard labor. Drug dealers also choose their line of work because it is easier than other jobs. Yes, I just compared gillsellers to Charles Manson and drug dealers, so kiss my taint if you don't like it, I could care less. And Arelios....man...wtf...><
