{Congratulations!} on getting this far! The first couple of weeks are a nightmare! I quit 6 months ago and never looked back. I'm not exactly the strongest willed person in the world, so if I can do it....

Quitting smoking FTW! Keep it up! ^^

Hellz yeah...I'm dreading the first time I go
out drinking...that'll be the real test for me I think...

omg...I'm gonna have to stay home for weeks...ack

This is something I can't fail at...I gotta quit...
for many reasons...but mainly, cuz I promised myself I would...

For weeks, just before I'd fall asleep at night I'd tell myself
tomorrow was the day...then beat myself up for 20 mins cuz
I had promised myself yesterday I was gonna quit and didn't...
I hated having to yell at myself every night...I was turning into
a real nag...and I was running outta excuses...debating with
yourself sux...you can never win the arguement...lol

So finally...finally...I can give myself a pat on the back
before I fall asleep, and now...I get 20 mins more sleep ^^
And god knows we gamers need all the sleep we can get...hehe

I was a three pack a day smoker for about 4 years, haven't had one in over a year now. Anyway, I used subflower seeds to quit, every time I wanted a cig I would eatt them.

;;>.> You still want a cig, but it takes your mind off it when you have something to put in your mouth.

I give you props, I quit smoking everytime I finish my pack until
I buy another one... sadly my stint with quitting never lasts more
than a few hours.

Good job man, keep up the good work. I found that chewing sugar free gum worked pretty good to stop the craving...and it freshens your breath for your co-workers pleasure.

You can do eeeettttt!

The first 3 days r the roughest huh.....

I'd have to disagree. I am trying to quit for the second time right now. I stayed quit for 9 months the first time. I can tell you to stay quit though, because this time is hell. It is like 3 times harder than quitting the first time was. GL!!!

I quit almost 2years ago now, and the bar scene was the hardest part in the beginning, but a funny thing starts to happen after 3-4 weeks, you start to smell again. You can smell your smokey clothes when you come home, and it's almost disgusting to you. I went a whole month of no smoking before I broke down in a traffic jam and instead of using a lead pipe to solve my probs, I found my emergency pack of smokes in the glove compartment. I took one drag and nearly gagged to death, threw the rest of the pack out the window. That was my last cig. I'm sure they may have been a little, um, stale, but maybe that helped lol. Either way, after a month of no smoke, I tried one and just new I was done. Havent had a single desire for one since. You'll get over the hurdle, and one day realize its been over a year since you had a smoke.

You're never an ex-smoker unless you start smoking again thus clearly emphasizing the period that you didn't smoke. If you never smoke again then you're just a quitter, there's nothing to be an 'ex' of lol.
P.S. Rehab is for quitters. lollersk8s

Takes two to three days to get the nicotine out of your system and to clean your blood stream. Thats the physical part. The mental cravings and the acutal addiction can take years to stop. Keep it up, im sure all of us know you can do it. Oh, and quitting smoking isnt for quittiers, quitting drinking is for quitters.

Eh, somewhat. Smoking seems to go hand in hand with this game lol

Party wiped? Be back in five, need a smoke.

Missed a claim? DAMNIT. Be back in five, need a smoke.

So on and so forth... lol
