Man, so last night I was leveling my Whm and was 200 tnl to 66! When some friends sent me a /tell asking me to haul *** and help them kill Charbdyis(sp). I was really tired and wanted to go to bed, but decided I would go anyways, for a nice rush before I go to bed.

I got ported and blah blah entered SSG. When I entered I noticed right with my few friends a group of about 15 or so BLM all on /follow hauling *** right behind us. Our Ninja was up in front of us and managed to get right to the room as a RMT ninja claims the NM..... Now, at this point the monstrous group of Blms from "BlackMageLS"(i'm sure you know what ls that is...) hasn't arrived just yet. The RMT ninja dies and we manage to claim it for a minute. We were waitin on our bard to arrive and our ninja gets taken out.

and then.... like every other major NM on the server... it gets claimed by a blm. Twenty seconds later, it's dead and as fast they came in, the BLMs are gone.

I know people ***** and wine and cry about RMT-as they see it constantly and it kills them. But I myself, don't get around them much, and thus don't get angry and just get sick to my stomach of them. But last night, I can honestly say I was disgusted, I was tore up, and just really sorry for my great friend Spanki and Tre of which we were trying to get the JoyToy for. All I can say is I'm sorry to those to another great chance at a great item lost due to them, and don't give up. I'll be there to camp again with you all whenever. Don't buy gil people, you really don't know how bad it messes up this game :'(

But not so far fetched either. It wouldn't take them much negotiation with {insert client here} to "sell it". They simply contract with said person, how much they want for the item, and then have the person sitting anyplace in SSG, in their alliance, while they kill it. Then the person pays one of them, the agreed price, to gain rights to lot for it.

I've heard of RMT in other servers doing this in Dynamis.

Anyhoo, I do sympathize with you OP, keep trucking. There's a new wave of RMT younglings in training on the move in our server. I have never seen so many jobs with no sub job running around in great numbers, leveling at high speed. I even saw a level 32 BLM, no sub, rank 5. Between them and power crafters undercutting everyone's prices, they are driving us down and out of the market.

I know none of this is new to anyone, but after SE "cleansed" the areas of RMT, this new wave coming into our town are a lot bolder, IMO. I wish there was something we could do---other than obviously not buying gil, because that isn't stopping them. Sorry, I got off on a tangent......But it's been pissing me off lately.

He's right, though. The mob went unclaimed. Hence, it is fair game. I don't like the RMT stealing it any more than you do, and probably less than some of you do (And yes, I know how much you hate it), but he has a point.

Under the current system, thanks to SE's genius, claim loss happens. Not the RMT's fault your ninja died, after all.

Insults weren't very smart, but he had a point.

p.s. if I do get subdefaulted for this, someone mind explaining why? Not that I really understand the alla karma system anyway, but nice to know in future.
