The other day i was walking in South sandy when i see Humefemale shouting about his casino... We all know how they go...

This casino was 5-20k bets, Black Jack style 21-double reward...

I was his first and last customer when i sent him a tell saying ill bet 20k.
I rolled a 19-stayed and he rolled a 23, who won? well... I did.

Upon rolling a 19 and seeing him roll a 23 i said "woot" he said i win.
We had a small fight about who won considdering how the rules he had stated...
he tryed tradeing me 21,001 gil and i demanded 40,000. He loged off so i called a GM.

Now if i was wealthy i would of shruged it off but that was about all i had, so i called a GM. The GM said he would look into it and a GM would trade me my 20k. I didnt want to wait because it was 12:30am and i had to be up earley, so i asked if i loged off and re loged later that day if i would still get my gil. He said i would.

So i log on later that day and wait for about 5 hours and called a GM to ask wtf was going on and he looked into it and pulled my old chat logs form that night like the 1st GM and said he was going to do research, and to gall another GM in 10 mins and said that this new GM would tell me what info he had gathered and let me know if i was going to be riembursed.

So i did and this GM pulled up the chat logs as befor and tells me it has been handled appropriately. I told him the other GM said you would tell me what info he found and weather or not id get my gil back and he said if I was able to recive gil a GM would contact me. Apparently near 24 hours pass and they still dont know after 3 GM calls.

By posteing this i hope i dont start a spring of phony casinos and conning...
Because they dotn seem to be doing a whole lot about my issue.
What is to stop others like Humefemale.

P.S. does anyone know Humefemales main char.? if you do please post it.

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

It is your fault for taking that bet (funny how that works out), and your fault only.

Edit: If you really need gil that bad, I will give send you 20k to help you get back on your feet. I don't want you to pay me back, because I know the chances would be rather slim, so I'll -give- it you. Give me your name, and I'll send some right now.

A while back, there was a change to the TOS. Basically, it says that if you promise something in a deal, you have to cough it up.

If you claim to sell a venomous claw, you HAVE to sell a venomous claw. Attempting to mislead people into buying a scorpion claw is not allowed.
Running a casino is allowed, but you HAVE to fork over the gil if the player wins. Again, you promised the reward so you have to ensure you can pay up.

My guess is, it's a newbee player that needed gil, and didn't expect to lose. He panicked when he realised he couldn't pay.

As listed in the FFXI ToU under section 3.1 Prohibitated activity subsection B

FFXI ToU wrote:
(b) The use of or participation in the Game for the purpose, in furtherance of, or in preparation for committing any illegal acts (including, by way of example but not limitation, any kind of gambling) or otherwise violating any applicable local, state, national or international law, or any rules or regulations promulgated thereunder

I find that kinda interesting

I think they mean dealing with real-world currencies (I.e. Casinos with real-money bets, as an example of Gambling), because they're speaking of violations of the national/international legislations.
As long as you keep things in-game, I don't think there would be a problem. Else, everyone playing Ballista and killing other players should be arrested for murder <.<;.

Jaden, you are not allowed to post unless you promise to come back! So since you already posted you have to play for a minimum of 2 weeks. Those are Sir James' rules..not mine.

You claim 20K was almost all the gil you had but yet you handed it over to a perfect stranger running a casino?

In the immortal words of a beer commercial....Brilliant!
