Dig BottersFollow

#1 Jul 11 2006 at 12:06 AM Rating: Decent
So for you diggers out there, I have been noticing two specific people who constantly dig 24/7 and always follow the same route.

Megogo does Rolanberry->Sauro->Meriph->Tahronghi->Bubu and back to Lower Jeuno.

Gears does Sauro->Rolanberry->Pashow->Konschtat->N. Gustaberg and back to Port Jeuno.

A friend and myself have been monitoring them for the last month and half and it is non stop following the same path time in and time out.

You can easily tell when they enter the zone your in because instantly the area dries up. Kind of sucks because there is no way to get anything good in these areas unless you are high level and can stay ahead of them. I am only A45 now(close to A40) and one can rarely get anything from these areas.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I have never seen them, but I usually dig in the desert and the jungle.
I will keep my eyes peeled.

May be a tad off-topic here but I've always been curious. Can choco digging bring in a decent amount of gil? I see quite a few people do it and I've never really inquired about it until now.

Do you think people would do it nonstop if it didn't?

Do you have to answer a question with a question? Couldn't you just say yes or no? Or even better yet, give an example or two how much digging can bring in over an hour compared to regular farming.

I suppose asking a question was my fault though. Because it seems that when someone asks a question, they rarely get help anymore. Especially here...

It's choco digging. Depending on items you happen to find, competition, and your level, you can make anything from millions (A10) to nothing (lawl still A10 in a crowded zone at a bad time or anyone lower with an A10 around or even more).

If you had trouble figuring out what his response meant, then you have deeper issues than the fact he answered you with a question. If you did get the point of his response, then you're posting for no reason other than to start trouble.

If you actually took the time to read my post, then you would have seen that there was a point behind it. My point was: Why can't people just give straight answers anymore?

Way to insult someone over the internet. Yay! Way to go!

Cho-bots will take a blow with the next update, with the introduction of fatigue. Also, item pool will be increased and purpose-bred digging chocobos will be possible.

Well I see the recent round of suspensions didn't hit Gears and Megogo as I see they are still running their usual routes as they continue to have day in day out all day since my original post.

I called a GM on it and had a nice little chat about it though I have no idea if they are going to even bother looking into it.

Gears and Megogo have been at it for a while. Don't expect anything to be done about them :/

At least those two have predictable routes you can stay ahead of (and no CoP access, probably).

There are 2 new bot diggers that are much more annoying: Danxiaogui and Babynishishui. These two only dig in one zone, nonstop. Danxiaogui used to dig in W.Altepa, but now moved camp to rolanberry. Babynishishui took over W.altepa from her old spot(E.altepa, which i suspect someone will be taking over soon).

There's just no competing against someone that digs in the same place 24/7 :/
I had clear evidence that Danxiaogui was using a bot, but the GM didnt' even want to hear what I saw.

Whatever, hopefully the, delayed, chocobo update alleviates this problem.

Just looked those two up. Baby is lvl 21 BLM, no sub and rank 1 digging in Altepa. Sounds a lot like a certain disliked group of people found on every server.
