An open note to all those who wish to ***** about the economy... here is a prime example of why you shouldn't place all the blame on gil selleres/buyers.
I was browsing through the Jeuno AH earlier this afternoon... planning out my future equipment, and started looking at belts. Well I was on a Werewolf Belt when I went to check the price. Some greedy ******* named Lalu reset the entire AH price to 300,000. Now the reason this pisses me off because I remember buying mine in August for 20k... even if inflation was 4x what it was when I quit it is an item that should only be sold for 100,000 top. But bastards like this are the reason why the AH is so broken now... feel free to send angry /tell and so forth to Lalu for ******* one of the last cheap good items.

Prices should go down fast... Warwolf belt is a common drop from most the Kindred Seal BC. When the poor lvl75 (yes.. those exist) see this, they'll try to sell it at 300k. Then the market will be oversaturated (too many selling, not enough buying) and the price will go down.

Meh, it may be a lot like, in proportion to the original price. Still, given the inflation and all, 300k shouldn't be that much of a ***** to make, ya know? Hell, it wasn't tough to make before the inflation.

I got mine for 400K way back when it came out. You see people spend in excess of 8Mil for items with lesser stats. This belt by far is one of the best items (stat wise) for the money and even at 300K its cheap(these days.

About 2-3 months back or so, Lalu was the person who crafted .. or bought one black cloak for 70k and sold it to herself for 300k 10 times to raise the prices so she could make a profit, so she's done it more than once again now to my knowledge, so anyone out there that knows Lalu or who's mule she is.. >.> knock some sense into her because she is becoming a nusiance (i.e.. KILL HER IN RL!!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA) but seriously people need not to take the easy way out by raising AH prices for their own personal benefit just so they don't have to farm.
Lalu tried to do the same with the Heirarch Belt.
AH listing showed a full list of 300k, but the last listing was a 10k sell.
I remember buying mine for about 40k, so I listed the 2nd one I got for 25k and it sold for 50k
So try bidding at what you remember the price to be. You never know, especially if I've listed it.

I saw Lalu also do this with several WHM teleports, tried to sell them for 300-400k a piece. Sneaky lil devil. >.<
People are listing at higher prices because they know they have strong chances of selling at those prices.
Part of the buyers made their gil legitimately, parts didn't. People who make their gil by spending long hours farming or whatnot tend to be less willing to bid more than what the item is worth, whereas someone who spent a measly five bucks per million (or less) will tend to care much less.
So, depending on the proportion of people who are willing to overbid who are gil buyers, yes, it could be related to RMT.
