Well now that I have a place to live I need internet. I just need help with the isp. My local cable provider offers this.

Im thinking about going with the 24.95 plan but I dont know if its worth a damn. I mean at 256kbps down and upload am I going to be dcing like crazy or what?
I dont have a phone line where i live and dont plan on getting one and my friend gave me his cable modem that works. its less then a year old. So I want cable. Id get the $50 a month [;an but its not affordable atm. For FFXi will I be dcing with a 256k download and upload speed or not?Please help I miss FF terribly and I miss all mah buds.

I played FFXI on dialup at my sister-in-law's house and had no troubles at all. I'm sure it will be fine.

Edit: Downloading patches and updates will be a @#$#$% though.

Hey John, I went with sbc. A one yr contract with min phone service I don't use and the dsl packge is 33 bucks a month.
