Congratulations! Best of luck to OmegaWeapon. Hope you show the other servers that Bismarck can play one mean game of Ballista. Smiley: king

Hmm... Sorry to hear that SE decide to rape your ballista and then decide not to even use lube...

What I am trying to say is sorry that SE screwed you over I think. o.O;; I'm not quite sure, it has been 3 days without sleep and I have been doing quite a bit of drinking (if you couldn't tell from my post about December 4th being a month from now).

Did you try contacting GM again to ask for reschedule? Did OmegaWeapon and BF actually held a match? Kinda sucks for Bismarck to be represented by a Team who only fought 1 match.

I wondered about the low score...and why one team went scoreless.

OmegaWeapon beat ProjectMayhem in Round 1, Evilatheart in Round 2, and SectaVictoriae in Round 3.

In those 3 rounds, OmegaWeapon scored 87 points while BismarcksFinest scored 53. Now, I understand they played different opponents, including BismarcksFinest vs ArchDominus. I also understand that BismarcksFinest won their Round 3 match with only 5 players to Disposableheroes' 6 players; also bear in mind, though, that Disposableheroes won their Round 1 match through opponent forfeit and got a Round 2 buy because 3 teams withdrew. Disposableheroes may very well have had no business being in Round 3. Who knows?

I'm not saying that OmegaWeapon is without a doubt a better team than BismarcksFinest. I'm just saying that it's not like 13 of the 14 teams forfeited and OmegaWeapon qualified by default. OmegaWeapon was one of the two best teams in the preliminary tournament, and there's a pretty good chance they are THE best.

What they did was incredible and I've mistaken their record for that of Disposeableheroes (fought only once) in my previous post and I appology. But this was supposed to be the best of Bismarck. Unless there is a rematch, it would always be known as the contented Best of Bismarck because they never battled for best of Bismarck.

I think past tourney battles are fairly useless at gauging a team's skill as their caliber of opponents obviously varies. Ballista can also be won or lost through sheer luck. Obviously the best case scenario ( a rematch) is lookign more and more unlikely, the best we can do is wish OmegaWeapon the best of luck.

Bowser, regarding your statement prior to the ediot, inquiring whether I'm seriously okay with the fact that our representative isn't necessarily the best of Bismarck, I was only trying to illustrate that OmegaWeapon shouldn't be stripped of whatever honor comes with the Star Cap over something that really wasn't their fault. By the same token, if there were people who felt convinced that they would have lost to BismarcksFinest, I'm only showing that may not have been the case. I realize that the score alone doesn't show everything, but given what little there is to go on at this point...it's something. What if neither team showed up for the match and they had to decide to whom to give the title without rescheduling a match? They'd probably (or not) go with the most points scored.

It does stink that this happened, but it doesn't suck that OmegaWeapon is representing us.

I realized immediately afterward what I wrote pre edit was really not what I meant to convey and I appology that you might have caught that. I'm pretty sure that both teams will represent Bismarck well and that the only one that needs any criticism should be SE for failing logistically.

No apology necessary. I wasn't offended by the pre-edit post or anything. However, if that's how you really felt but maybe felt uncomfortable saying it, then I just wanted to say a word about it. ^_^

instantly i was going at sum GM for over an hour. Im not saying omega should be dropped and luny put in their place, im saying i wanna see a damn match that is NOT ended because of sum SE **** up...

No offense to OmegaWeapon, as I was on the ProjectMayhem team and they beat us fair and square.... but Bismarck's Finest would have gone all the way without a doubt. The players on Bismarck's Finest are some of the best Ballista players I know on Bismarck. I think that SE really screwed up on this one and they should definitely reschedule this match between now and December 4th. /sigh

No matter what happens though, good luck to OmegaWeapon and show all those other servers that Bismarck is the best!

Omegaweapon handed us our *** (Secta) and we went through a couple of pretty good teams to face them. Omega weapon is organized with a really good game plan and came out swinging and kicked our butts. IMO they will represent Bismarck with a great deal of tenacity and guile. I have all the confidence in the world that they will kick *** and take names. Good Luck!

First of all, I'd like to congratulate OmegaWeapon for coming out in first. I know that they will give it their all to take anyone who opposes Bismarck.

My team (EvilAtHeart) has faced defeat from them, losing by only 1 point scored at the very last second (in the middle of a lot of heat at the end). But I have to admit that was the most exciting match I have faced in my entire ballista career.

To OmegaWeapon, best of luck and kick some serious a$$ out there.

Yeah, well, they kicked our ***. And that is good enough for me since we beat some pretty good teams to get to the third round. As far as Bismarcksfinest goes...not to bag on them, but they should have known about it. If Omegaweapon did, then they should of, that's just the cold, hard, truth. I bet Omegaweapon would have beat them anyway, but that is besides the point.

I didn't really want to make a post in here, but since no one else on the team did. I just want to say thanks to all those who support us without a doubt. We really appreciate it and intend to bring Laurel Crowns back when this things all said and done.

Thanks for the support.

Eh, that's enough motivation for me... I've been trying to steal that pot of gold from the small Scottish tarutaru with a 4-leaf mandy bud pinned to his Justaucorps.
