Let me explain...

I sold my Scorpion Harness at 5m, I rebought it at 6m
I sold my Haubergeon at 3m, its at 3.6m a week later
I sold my Ochiudo's Kote at 1.3m, I rebought it at 2.1m
I sold my Emperors Hairpin at 650k, I rebought at 1.1m
I sold my Sniper Rings (x2) at 700k each, I rebought them at 950k each
I sold my Bloodsword at 600k, it went up to 2m 2 weeks later

Am I just bad with money, or has any of you kids had the same problem?

IDK mabey im just a whiney little b*tch

Why'd you sell it all in the first place?

Yeah really, I keep seeing people sell and rebuying stuff(higher than they sold it for usually) and I keep wondering... WTF are they doing?

Sounds to me like you're bad with money.

Nah i feel your pain man... I started up and dropped DRG several times before eventually quitting FFXI all together. I can't even tell you how many times I bought and sold my damned Assault Earring. I think the highest I ever paid was like 600k or something and the lowest was 300k.

Meh, what it all boils down to is if you think you aren't going to do whatever with the item, keep it for a good two weeks before you get rid of it.

EDIT: -.-;; because I can't spell.

Well, as you can see with my signature I have jumped around with a few jobs... there are more I havent listed there. I have conceded to not selling anything again ever again... unless of course it becomes useless to me in the future.

...so much for learning about something BEFORE you lose millions >.>

Just inflation, the more time passes the more people are getting jobs to lvls where they want to buy these things, theres more players buying these items than there are new ones being produced to the prices keep slowly going up, The only time this really is not the case is when SE change something. Like how an item is dropped, i.e. the emp pin, was 1m just after it went rare/ex on VE it dropped to 700k now its shot upto 1.5m

Gill is litterally a bad thing to collect, as its decreasing in value all the time, because all the items are increasing in value. Yeah it looks like u lost 1m on the SH cos it went up in price from when u sold it, but what did u buy it for in the first place.

At least you were even able to get the money for one in the first place. -.-

Anybody who says making money is easy does not have my bad luck.

I hear you Deed.

I finally learned and have stowed most of my early level gear for most jobs on a mule, and it's turned out to be quite a money saver. I got sick of buying new stuff everytime I got a wild hair up my butt to level a new job.

I do the same thing, Wintaru. I'm quite a packrat with this stuff because moneymaking is not something I've been able to do well at all.
