2 MPKs in Garlaige.Follow

#1 Aug 15 2005 at 5:10 PM Rating: Decent
Well to start, my party enters Garlaige to find it is indeed crowded as usual. The camp we had was on top of TWO parties near the zone. So Why not try the banishing gate right? I go there to find a group of people who I thought were exp'ing so I was going to turn back, But it had been a good 10 minutes and they hadn't even pulled a mob, plus they weren't a full party. So we decide to camp next to them at the gate. Well 5 minutes into us killing mobs, their last member must've arrived or returned and they tell us to move. Seeing as I had the choice to either camp next to 2 parties, or camp next to 1 where there's more mobs...I chose the obvious.

Well they didn't like that and couldn't share so they went on to /telling me and telling us to move near the pops where we'd surely die. Um...No thanks, plenty of mobs and not like they aoe, so there's no reason to move.

About maybe 20 minutes go by, and I see that it looks like they're disbanding, people have left. Next thing I know, 1 Ninja from their party named Mileslong is running to us with a Beetle in tow. He then mijin gakures and home points. MPK#1. We're like **** but we didn't die yet, we're doing ok... Then all of a sudden the second ninja runs up, Danneh. He has 3 Siege Bats in tow when we're midfight with one, Mijin Gakure --> Home Point. MPK#2. 3-4 Members die,and more would've if a nice BST wasn't there to help with the beetle. Called GMs and of course they do their job well, and do nothing. I telled both mpk'ers, and they played dumb. But I guess the GM got to Danneh, cause then he telled me and indeed admitted many times after he tried telling me I'M the bad one for calling a GM... "You stole my camp, I mpk'd you"

Watch for these losers. People need to learn to share when all camps are filled up. Of the mobs even AOEd I could understand, but they don't. Again : Mileslong and Danneh. Thank you.

So they were waiting for their last person and you camped on top of them? I mean MPKing you is drastic but you aren't exactly innocent here.

Why do people think GC is the only place to go at that level?

oh and here: http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=35&mid=1095621765815617046&num=578

If you also read the rest, you'd already know we really had no other choices. And my party was already there when that 3rd party near the zone arrived. Anything else?

You didn't have to party in Garliage, you know... don't say you don't have any other choices just beacuse Garliage is overcamped.

no need for me to retype my point. good job finest!

And i did say the MPK was excessive, but how would you feel if you built up a PT. Got all the way to GC and finally find a vacant camp and the WHM says oops i GTG sorry ;;

you search around for 10 minutes finally find one who says they can be there in 5. You say great come on down!

then all of a sudden some other group decides to come and sit right on top of you and start fighting in your camp.

tell me you wouldn't be pissed and try to keep a straight face while you do...

Ummm I'd deal with it and not mpk people to start? Obviously I know how to share a camp if we were for 20 minutes.

I guess I see both sides of the issue. Yeah, it sucks to have someone camp on top of you. On the other hand, I believe until you're ready to start pulling, you don't have a camp. If you have a member get to camp and have to leave, I'm sorry. I've seen one or two people "claim" a camp in Bibiki Bay then start building the PT from there. I don't consider that a claimed camp, myself.

Yes, I encourage people to find camps other than GC (more than that, other camps than Elshimo...for god's sake, why take a NIN pt to a camp where the main mobs all double attack?), and if it happened like Tset suggests, then I feel bad for the other PT as well, but I can't be sympathetic to any PT that resorts to MPK. I've had PTs camp on top of mine before, and my advice is always the same: pull faster, kill faster, leave the second camp with no mobs and they have to leave.

granted sometimes the suggestions seem like they are intended for 1-2 levels lower, but they are often accurate and, if nothing else, it can give ideas.

The opposite's happened to me before, where I arrive as a 6th and another PT came down to exp at that spot too, so we shared camp and they sent us tells telling us to move because they had a ready PT first and we were obligated to leave, and moved their fights into the center of our fights to lag. They didn't go as far as to MPK, but we all had to blist them because they were flooding our screens w/ tell and say-chat.

So... whatever. Everyone in GC is stupid.
