Sunday night we were fighting in Yuhtunga Jungle off Goblin Smithys when Maliasrsong came with his lv33 monk and NPC fighting mandragoras on top of my party. This is at the one section where you can drop down to head to Yhoator. We asked him nicely and he just ignored us. We asked again when the mandragora slept us and killed one of our member and he told us to not camp on top of him. I told him we called a GM and he said he wasn't afraid.
The person who was watching over out PT got upset over this so decided to kill his NPC by binding a gob next to it. The guy then proceeded to pull a mandragora on us and make it sleep our party so the person watching over us bound the NPC next to the guy long enough to get him to back away from our pt. He then threatened he would MPK us with his BST which he then went to Kazham to change to. Fortunately the pt ended before he could come for us.

That sucks man. I also don't see why people would rate you down for reporting something like this. Guess they'd rather be unaware of people on the server and get screwed over by this guy like your party almost did.
This will probably be my last post anyways. I've had a karma troll on me for the last 5 months rating me down. Guess they win.
Just blist the guy and move on when the pt is done. You guys kinda had an attempted "MPK war" of sorts there (he trying to kill you, your PL trying to kill his npc). I guess he got sick of it and decided to do it the most effective way (bst).
If you call a GM before it all starts so they can *watch it happen* then they WILL take action againsted the MPKer.

Yoy forget that GMs have been taking hours to respond to calls and I'm sure that was what they tried first. Hard to catch someone in the act if the GM doesn't contact you until hours after the incident.
Personally I feel that if the guy chose to stay and be an *** about it, killing his NPC was a good move. However, going a step further and trying to kill him wasn't. It just puts you no better than ForceElite regarding the gilsellers in sky.

The last time I used /helpdesk was about a year ago. I remember them responding much faster than that (5-20 minutes). Damn, with an hour+ wait time then you really have no choice >.< GMs in FFXI have become next to useless, I've seen MPK go unpunished many times too many :/
From what you said about having the camp first the guy should have moved his solo camp and apologised. He really didnt need to be an *** about it.
The same thing happened to me in Valley of Sorrows a couple of nights ago... Smiledd, Kuk, Godsmile and another gilseller (forget the name Houfeng i belive it was) came and camped on us and started by pulling Peytons on top of us >.>.
After a few fights and constant telling them to move we convinced their non-gilseller blm to start warpII-ing everyone but the sellers after their pull.
Lets just say it backfired when they slept their raptor and blink tanked it without attacking it having it go after our whm.
After calling a GM and a few screenshots later I told them what happened (without telling them about us telling the blm what to do of course ^^;). Aparently they won't accept screenshots anymore of anyone doing anything because people have sent in doctored photos, and ultimately i got the standard "we'll look into it" response.
So, i guess next time just call the gm ahead of time like it was stated before, because doing something about it after it happens wont do anything for you.
