OK take two deep breaths. Now relax. It's a game, OK? It will still be there in the morning, I promise. One day without XI is not going to kill you, there are other things in the world to do. Swearing at the company for making the game better because it keeps you from playing is kind of childish don't you think?
With any luck this long maintenance will prevent, or at least help to prevent, further DDoS attacks, unnecessary d/cs, etc. In other words it's likely (hopefully) a necessary evil.

During the summer, I'm kind of nocturnal, so there isn't really anything to do.
I'm not nerding out because I want to log on and LFG for 4 more hours, I'm just anxious to see all the new stuff.

Well yeah, so am I. I really want to see how this NPC thing works, it's very interesting. But this is getting out of hand.
me too im also interested to see what NPC will give me the ninja tool bundling.
Couple people I know were theorizing that the Ninja tool NPC will likely follow along with the troupe that shows up in the number 1 nation of the week. But I'd check Mhaura and Selbina too, they added a couple things in those cities in particular.

Every time there's an update, the servers reset. Normally, they update during NA prime, ending at around 3EST. Perfect time for the land Gods to be controlled by North American LSes.
However, this time, the update completes at Five AM EST. The servers will be reset, which means the Fafnir/Behemoth/Adamantoise windows will be pushed back to anywhere between 0500 and 0800 eastern - well outside the operating times of most North American linkshells.

I knew all that, but I didn't know that's what he was referring to. Seemed like he meant they were doing updates to those mobs as well o_O

unfortinatly that is just part 1 of the up date then you need to get logged back in to see what the other update that we all know will be there is going to be about and pray its not a 5 hour one lol
