I remember running from Sandy to the Dunes, long and scarey trip. Get aggro from a Orc Neckchopper.....then i would have to start alllllll over again!

hmmmm i remember when,
-we used to try and make a sc for everyone in the pt
ok the skillchain is
blade rin-> tachi empi-> combo-> double thrust -> wasp sting
everyone got that?
-i sat on top of the hill in south gustaburg cooking wild sheep meat to make galka sausage on the fire up there, only to be killed 10-15 min before it was finished. ( i spent my first few days of the game making those things and doing nothing else)
-i checked my first JP and gota world of angry JP face tells from him (yeah i havent forgotten that yet chevrolet, you *******, and i got a face for you now t(','t)
-i used to sell my crstals to the shop in bastok mines for 14 gil each.
-when somebody led me to bastok markets and i realized that there were more than 10 people playing the game.(i never saw anyone hardly in bastok mines.)
-when a friend and i were going to go to jeuno for the first time but we turned around cause a big ugly goobue was blocking our path in pashow marshlands.
-when people used to warp out of the party to go feed chocobo for liscenese and leave the rest of us sitting there waiting on them in qufim.
-when the goblin leacher was the king of all mobs.
-when i joined my first alliance so we could try and kill a goblin leacher and we got owned.
-when i told my linkshell ninjas were useless because the ninja in our pt was hitting for 6-11 dmg in the jungle. (this was before bliktanking was invented, how ironic i would beocme a 75 ninja in the end)
-when hiptaru was level 50 and saw me camping leaping lizzy with leaping boots on and informed me that rare means you can only carry one of the item.
-when i was a level 6 ninja and leaping lizzy spawned right in front of me and i provoked it and died almost instantly.
-when two people on bismark thought they were above the rules and caused alot of chaos and now they are sitting here reading this thread remembering when they used to have characters.

Yah i remember when i was on my first Selbing to Mhura Ship ride i just stayed inside the ship cause my friends told me there was a lv60+ NM that pops on the boat. So i stood inside, little that i know the NM did pop and some JP person Got Aggro and kite it through the ship. It came up to me and im like whats this? Interesting Monster... Sea Horror... Then the next thing u know it hits my twice both for 414pt of dmg. and i was a Lv18 WHM Exploring the game. Was interested in a boat ride. And i had like 100 something HP and i was over killed easy. Yah not exactly a very found rememberance of my first boat ride. But i had fun just being there on the ship till the dude brings the NM downstairs.. ; ;

i also remeber that first time thru the dunes... those were magical times. my first ls where everyone was 20 lvls higher than me (i was lvl 9) thinking they were really high lvl. im almost 1 year old... sometime in august

i remember when i saw my first battering ram, and thought the jp dude who killed it in 5 hits was invinceable.
i remember when i learned that elementals in lathine didnt like it when you casted barsleep.
i remember when everyone was friends and there was no LS gang MPK fights.

My most favorite memory was when I was a lvl 13 monk and I traveled all the way from Sandy to windy. I then learned about NM's via this site and I camped spini spipy and got the drop. I felt so rich when I had 30k from selling it

Indeed, i remember how i was always very impressed with just how nice and helpfull other players seemed to be. I made it my goal to try and help others as much as i could.
I remember when I joined my first LS, EleusianherosBSD, after the leaders bf saved me in east saru from an agroed yag.
I remember when I was partied in valkurm and our tank made a crack about pulling a fire elementle and our thf actualy did. >.<
I remember when i got my first job to 23 (warrior) and quit it for blm because i could never get a party lol.
I remember when i finaly got blm to 50, I was so happy because i felt i could finaly offer real help to people. i spent a couple months doing nothin but cleaning up trains and offering raises in valkurm.

He lives in texas and me in seattle...it was so cool spending time with him, we pt'ed all the way to 40 together...that was a year and half ago...we had so much fun together...I sure do miss those days...he quit ffxi 3 or 4 months ago...I was so sad.

I've played not quite a year - when I think of how I started....
* I remember my first login - I had RL friends that got me started. I belonged to a LS at lvl 1 and I thought that was awesome!
* I remember following my friends around that first day (and longer) coz (1) I had no clue what I was supposed to do (2) I didn't know how to read the maps (3) I didn't know anything! They had to teach me how to even equip my pearl.
* I remember dying rather quickly, after learning how to equip a weapon, fighting a Giant Bee - no one told me a level 1 WHM can't do that! I switched from WHM to THF immediately.
* I remember when a friend made the trip to San d'Oria for the first time - he was so excited about new places and monsters and people. I thought "the world is too big, I'll never keep up".
* I remember my first trip to the Dunes - I was terrified to move, certain that I was gonna die or get aggro and cause my party to die!
* I remember getting my first advanced job and doing it solo, because I thought if I can't do this alone, I don't deserve the job.
* I remember sitting in Qufim, lfg as THF 21, for hours. When I finally got invite, no WHM to be found. Grimson PL'd the party until we all got lvl 25! He walked on water as far as I was concerned as a result!! Thank you, Grimson!
* I remember my first venture in Kazham - got invite right off the airship (unusual for a THF!). A big "Thank you" to Ashburnitall for taking the time to teach me how to be a better THF.
* I remember the thrill I experienced in soloing Explorer's Footsteps to get Crawler's Nest Map - used almost all my CQs on Warp scrolls, but it was worth it. The thrill of soloing my AF coffers and picking the locks - not that long ago. The curse of a THF - you solo all the time and you hate to solo all the time.
* I remember my joy (still have it) when I reached a level that I could actually help others out - whether it's with a quest, a mission, AF, or pulling aggro and links off someone.
* I remember my first BCNM 40 - I didn't want anyone to know that I was afraid of letting them down. That was quite a few BCNM's ago :P

Ah...so many memories. I started early June last year.
*I remember being getting helpful tips from a high level when I was still below level 10. Also, befriended my first buddy, Tactless. Still buds to this day.
*I remember giving my crystals to the WarWarlock for conquest points.
*I remember xp'ing till level 14 in the Maze of Shakrami*spelling*. I miss those MM hunting parties.
*I remember once in the Dunes the constant /shout'ing for pt invites.
*I remember being dirt poor at level 20 and bumming lizard armor off a friend of mine. I'm ashamed of myself now since I used that armor set till I was level 30. Finally upgraded to *drum roll* studded leather armor. Ignorance was bliss back then >.>.
*I remember when a stack of silk thread was only 10k (currently leveling clothcraft through the SilkRoad).

I remember shouting for help for about 5-6 hours with Merodi when we needed help geting that cursed wand for the windy mission. We ended up geting 18people that all needed it and to my suprise almost everyone styed till the last person had their wand^^
I also remember a time not to long ago that i planed to quit the game and people like Merodi and Hiptaru convinsed me to stay.
The other thing I remember is Merodi telling me I cant quit till I help her get Rank 10 for Windy (still waiting to do that if ya havent done it yet XD) and i promised to wait till after that and she said she was going to change to sandy just to make sure I stayed.
Thanks for not leting me quit Merodi and Hip because now I'm haveing way to much fun with all the things to do in the game that i never thought I would be able to do like Dynamis ^^

He told me that it's rough being a mage and the gil would come in handy. *huggles Asgaurd* You inspired me to be the type of person I am on this game today.^^

When everything was new I would get scared going to new areas and doing certain missions. 2-3 dragon made me so nervous. My palms got sweaty.... eeeeewwww, and my body tensed up from fear. Those were the good ol' days.... when I was actually worried for my lil taru. Now I just worry how much exp I am going to lose if I die.
I sure do miss being such a noob. pfft! What am I talking about? I still am. {/blush}

Ganomba pretty much killed BSD with his stupidities (I've since deleted his account, so, he can't play anymore). And I think out of everyone else Eleryn, Bauka and myself are the only 2 who still play. Eleryn and I are in the same LS still but Bauka is off in another.

I remember when:
- first time I level up on windurst...chased by wolf zombie in windurst and got KO of that stupid monster lol!
- Lvling in Tahrongi Canyon..seems that area was a very very dangerous area lol!
- Lvling in Maze of Shakrami, killed worms, got owned by wind elemental lol!
- When everyone still leveling in Buburimu Peninsula...that bunny seemed so ferocious...my *** got owned so many times..lol

Those good ol time went away so fast..now I'm retired...

- first time I level up on windurst...chased by wolf zombie in windurst and got KO of that stupid monster lol!
- Lvling in Tahrongi Canyon..seems that area was a very very dangerous area lol!
- Lvling in Maze of Shakrami, killed worms, got owned by wind elemental lol!
- When everyone still leveling in Buburimu Peninsula...that bunny seemed so ferocious...my *** got owned so many times..lol
- My first boat trip from Mhaura to Selbina...got terrified by sea monk and sea horror along the way
- Get my magicked skull in Gusgen mines..a drk 75 helped me out..he was in my pt leveling his other job..i forgot his name

Remember when Hiptaru was selling all those astral rings to him self for 800k, and then someone bought one for 1 gil from him because he was trying to avoid AH fees? yeah, that was hilarious. Still a great move tho, Hip, wish I'd done it.

I remember the first time i played i wound up in korroloka tunnel and died horribly to a spider at lvl 1.
-when i didnt know how the A.H. worked so i sold everything for 1 gil each (Didnt know that was just the tax charge :s)
-When i got really nasty tells from people because i was selling all my windcrystals for 1 gil (See previous statement) and i was ruining the crystal market.
-When MildRid broke up ;;
-When A*I joined Aurora.
-When Aurora 20 maned kirin.
-When i coined the name Mamichuu
-When Mamichuu coined the phrase "Cruffins"
-When Corpse saved my set from MPK'ing. (Back before he became 75 and the merit god) :P
