Well, what can i say. I am just as shocked as everyone else. I thought FFXI shouldn't be this bad considering is a MMORPG. I thought they can do better than this. Now let's see what we have here beside botting and "fishing up expensive bed exploit". I guess i had it wrong, i should of know it that Storing 6.6 gig of game files in player client side should let players have access to more than just botting or "Fishing up expensive beds". 6.6 gig of game file should be more than just graphic/character modele files. I am disapointed at SE. . .

Watch those video and discuss. Those links are not containing where to get the cheating programs. And i hope no one is going to looking for it either, because hell i will see people flying in the sky and nuke Kirin or CoP dragons to death without taking any dammage.

So far i know this cheat program is only available to JP client FFXI. So don't even go out there and look for it and try with NA version and get yourself a fake one with Keylogger. It's not totally out of hand it seems since it's still limited to JP client only.

thats just crazy always wondered how JP people were so strong j/k

on serious side this is just insane HOPEFULLY it takes a programming degree to make this possible or soon this game will be just like diablo 2 with the 1337 H4X0RZ XD

The character is occasionally floating, and even 'jumps' up way high. He also pulls up some kind of map of the area.
The map thing might not be breaking any rules, but the floating thing is. He also seems to do some kind of position adjustment, which could be used to run very fast.

Maybe he is just messing with game files so only HE can see what is going on?

The only way to tell is to have someone else tape him in the air.

Regarding the update they put up this morning. Well, it wasn't really a fix toward this cheating program directly. They just fix couple .dll, PoL.exe and version update so the old version Windower won't recongnize the new version PoL. SE's first thought of counter it is by making the windower disfuntional.(True since the cheat needs windower to funtion/give command.) Well look, the new version of fully funtional Windower is already promised to coming out in couple days as soon as they find out which file is effecting Windower to recongnize the PoL client.(Can't be that hard since when you are updating, the PoL client even show you which file is downloading and replacing. . .saved alot trouble try and look for them. . .If i remember correctly there are 3 files been replaced in today's update.) All they have to do is replacing a modified/old version of .dll file and by pass the PoL version checking, reversion the PoL client back to it was before update. . .

This update is just a emergency "weak counter". It will take more than just one night for SE to figure out a more serius counter toward the cheat program. So let's wait and see.

Everything you said is true. But SE has addresed the teleporting exploit in one of their statements. Here I will copy and paste it:

Quote:
Square Enix Policy Concerning Third-Party Tool Use

We have recently discovered some of our players to be using third-party "hacking" tools to move their characters instantaneously around dungeons and battlefields alike.

In FINAL FANTASY XI, the use of any software or hardware not provided by or approved by Square Enix is strictly prohibited.

While we make no specific official announcements regularly to this effect, we do in fact implement a variety of devices to counter such behavior with each version update, and we duly punish any and all players we find to be using such tools. In today's version update, we implemented counter-measures to address the irregular movement described above.

We can and will take further action as necessary against players caught using similar tools in the future as well.

Thank you for your cooperation, and thank you again for playing FINAL FANTASY XI.

So hopefully, they did address some of the hacking going on. I never played Diablo, but that game was infected with cheating. It was a game of who can cheat the fastest, and it would be very sad if this game came to that.

That was totally a glitch. There is no way you can cheat in an MMORPG. It's impossible. You can do the same thing in valkurm. Ok, not really the same thing, but for PS2 users you can go underwater. It is a glitch. It isn't a cheat.

For sarcasm, generally you stop after one or two, not five.

Oh, and good job SE, you borked my windower and didn't fix anything permanently. If you had permanently shot down my windower somehow, well, at least you care. As is, this is a stopgap maneuver, and a crappy one at that.

I dunno it looked pretty nifty. I'd kill for a program that let me walk faster. :p I've been "under" the dunes before myself, it's pretty much just like that. It's pretty fun summoning an avatar from the water and watching the newbies freak out as they try to reach me out there. >_>

Just an advice to those who are using the temperory Windower fix by replacing/reversion PoL Client files. I would think the new real fix of Windower that's coming out won't be involving reversion of PoL client. Reversion PoL client is just an easiest way to fix the Windower problem so the outdated version of Windower still funtional after update. Having a back up files of today's update is just a safe better than sorry idea, nobody knows what's the "big update" (The official SE update in mid-July.) coming up is going to be. So at the worse case if the big update is involving the files you have replaced today and you don't have back up files for today's update, you will have to fully reinstall FFXI to have it fully funtional again after big update that's coming up. . .

No, i am not the creater/team of Windower tool. What is the fix for Windower going to be isn't up to me, it's just my guessing so if you don't like it then feel free to ignore this post. For me, backing up files is always a good idea.

/stagger... its retarded Killu again saying I'm fat. Well, dude, I'm not an *******. And I'm not fat. On FFXIplayers, that was only a head shot, so how can you judge it? Well, I'm not the one that is gay with Hoodlum. Well, Killu, have a fun time ******* Hoodlum. I'll be in the corner laughing my head off and your retarded insults. Later **** face.
