Somehow I felt the need to reply, mainly because:
1) Alauce is one of the very few people who can type correctly.
2) I can spell belligerent.
Jokes aside, Alauce makes a pretty good point. Although I find the whole thread useless, some people did mention things that are worth considering.
Every job has people that suck at said job horribly. This is especially true for: Paladins, Dragoons, Red Mages, Dark Knights, Rangers, Samurais, Warriors, White Mages, Black Mages, Blue Mages, Thieves, Monks, Bards, Ninjas, Summoners, and I would mention Beastmasters, but that's their own problem if they suck.
I agree, some people just flat out suck at what they do, and they seem to cluster around certain jobs. However, it all depends on which place in the party you're on. You've played Red Mage to 75, and I've played it to 70 before realizing that I wanted to shove a shotgun in my mouth and pull a Kurt Cobain. You are now playing White Mage, both are mage jobs.
Now, if you were to play a melee job, as I did with WAR to 58, you'll begin to notice one thing. White Mages suck, Red Mages suck, Paladins suck, Ninjas suck, and every other DD that can't even come close to the damage of your Rampage sucks. Which is mainly why I decided to quit WAR at 58, I picked it back up recently because I was invited to a static with this setup: RNG/NIN, RNG/NIN, RNG/NIN, WAR/NIN, WHM/SMN, BRD/WHM. Some of you may say there's a few jobs in there that slack off, but actually every single job there plays an important role in our party. We managed to get from 58 to 62 in a couple of days, an amazing amount of time, and I don't regret joining them at all.
What's my point? I don't know. Oh yeah, pickups suck. But even if you announce it on AK, it's not going to stop them from sucking and it's not going to stop them from inviting you.
