Who is TimbuktuII you might be asking, and why was the shell made?
TimbuktuII is a group of players (so far) that I've met in my 242 days of playtime. Most of us are level 65+, with the core members being 70+. We've come together to start a HNM shell where loot rules are fair; where one or two players aren't the only ones with pimped out gear.
We've already started on HNM. Our third day together as a linkshell we took down Roc and got a Healing Staff drop. Go check around for people with one of our pearls; most of them will be Roc Stars. We're slowly gaining more members, but those of us that are in our 70s are anxious for more.
We need more dedicated members than we already have. We need more people willing to show up, to get ToDs, and to get more people interested.
We're not only for 70+, either. We're starting with the "baby" or Jeuno HNM. Roc, Simurgh, Lumber Jack, and others. At the current moment we're accepting all jobs that are 65+. Sky is not required, but it's nice to have. We will take outstanding players under 65, but that will be a rare occurence.
If you're wondering about our loot rules, it's this: anything worth over 500k is split among members. Anything else is free lot. Rare/ex gear is to be lotted on by the job that can make best use of it, and attendance. The only exception to this is Shining Cloth, which will be saved until a WHM is of level 68+, which it will then be turned into a Noble's Tunic, free of charge to that WHM (the tunic will obviously only be rewarded to that WHM after they show dedication to the LS, but that's to be expected).
If you're still interested after reading this, go on over to our linkshell forums at http://s7.invisionfree.com/Timbuktu. Application is open for anyone, but feel free to browse the forums, check out some screenshots, and post what you want.
Thanks for your time, and I hope to see you around the shell.
EDIT: It should be noted that I don't want this to turn into a flame thread. Keep your opinions of HNM shells and end-game events to yourself unless they are encouraging.
