Hi all I'm sort of back on the forums I will just be lurking around and pop in from time to time. But when I was looking in this thread I noticed this
If a pld or any tank for that matter runs away for fear of dying while the pt sticks it out, then quit playing tank because you don't belong as being a tank. (This is to everyone who does this)
A tank job is the first one in and the last to leave. If a mob is whuppin' on your party it IS the tanks responsibility to not let the other members die even at the cost of your own life. I play a tank job and I have died because I had to for the good of the party. I have even died knowing that when I die I will delvl. Oh sure I could have run to save my level but how many would have died probably my whole party. So yes I got some respect but to me itsnot about that. If my death can save my party I will make that sacrifice because I am tank. Now sorry for it being long but yeah there's some helpful advice

Even though this thread is getting beaten to death, I'll throw in my 2 cents. I have never had the "privledge" to play with you beatdown, so in all honest I cannot say whether you play your job well or not. Concensus would tend to tell me not, in such a way that when I get bard past the lvl 60 grind I am in now, I don't think I would ever party with you.
It seems as though you like to start drama, and it tend to make me wonder who is the person behind the toon. I'd suspect you are rather young in age.
I agree wholeheartedly that this is a agem and to have fun or not party with that person. Sad though, it seems as if this thread shot you in the foot moreso then if you just let the other thread die.
Finally for someone who has an advanced job in the 70's and a few others in mid levels, it seem as this game is more to you then just a "sorta play ever now and then" thing. Thus shouting get off the computer and get a life, makes me wonder what kind of outside life you have.
That being said, I know that people all have bad days, hell even bad weeks or months. I'd say the majority of people play this game as a form of escape from everyday troubles. To get mad over things that happen in this game and to start ranting over things, maybe it's not the game you have a problem with, or the people that you play with. Maybe, just maybe it's you.

Had a whm the other day in my pt that practically started crying when we got aggro - did we boot him? no. did I come write msgs on here about him? no. Learn to deal with it and then you can call yourself a good player - either that or get in a static pt and you dont have to worry about it.

We'd get links almost every single time - sometimes links and then a pop right next to us. We dealt with it and it turned out to be one of the best and most fun pts I've been in. Can't remember everyone in the pt, but I do remember Rae & she definitely deserves to be the good players site.

What you are saying has some small part of truth, but it should be pointed out that most of this is not in reaction to the OP over in the other thread, but rather the way in which Beatdown has responded to it.
And I think by and large most of the in-game complaints have been above and beyond merely being a bad day.

We had a 55 SMN there, Phillip. He was a great guy.
Every time we spawned Crimson-toothed Pawberry, he starts off with Astral Flow.
Well, Phillip died every time, as soon as the mob spawned.
Rancorr and Raikku, being the l33t hax0rz they are would always say;
"Wtfpwnd"
So thats where I got it from. I like to repeat it every time someone dies an over-exaggerated death.

My impression has always been that you have been pwned so quick or suddenly you don't know what hit you.
In threads though it's often used for a particularly telling remark. I thought the comments about this being a movie he would recommend to all his friends pretty much said all that needed to be said.

Hmmm...It is sad to say but I think beatdown might as well quit the game. I mean he is lvl 70, ripe for applying to an HNM LS, but someone is bound to stumble into one of the two threads and see his responses. I think that you just commited game suicide by starting the thread or even responding to Singular's post. No more Dynamis or HNM for you. Sorry, but you shot yourself in the foot.

BTW I am also 70PLD/35WAR but I am actually good. Another thing is the fact that I dont flaunt my lvls like most people do. As for the top after people get a hold of these threads your last 5 lvls will take forever if you ever get there.
