Someone, I believe the ever eloquent Haquej, posted Ishido. I have no idea what happened and likely won't ask, but I will refute Ishido being a poor player. Ishido is one of three ninja tanks I trust on the server. Nothing personal against ninjas, I've just not had much luck with nin/ or /nin tanks. I have seen Ishido work through ZM4 and ZM5 and was glad to see he actually used ninjutsu *other* than shadows. Others that participated in the ZM run can also detail his outstanding abilities. There is nothing poor about this player.

Yeah I agree with you Ray, but I know why Haquej put Ishido up here and it is for personal reasons. Haquej has it out for Ishido over a few things that I won't go into but even considering putting Ishido up here is crazy he is an amazing Ninja as many people have seen.

I'd agree that it's for personal reasons, as I posted in the thread itself, being too lazy to find this thread until I was linked to it. >.>

Having known Ishido since the day he was born (almost 17 years now), I think I'd be more than qualified to judge his character, and in terms of being an *******, that's my job. I doubt he has a mean bone in his body, except when you do something to hurt one of his friends. If that's the case and Haquej did hurt someone he cares for, then he deserves it. I trust Ishi's judgement in character even more than I trust my own, and that's saying something.

As for his tanking ability, I haven't hit Slug Shot or Sidewinder level yet, but I can't even rip hate off of him if he's trying--no matter what I do. That alone should be enough to prove he's a good tank--that along with the fact that when he's just skilling up weapons he takes hate from 59PLDs that are trying to tank. =/

In regards to this Bobbyjr shit, you people are waaaaayyyyyy too patient. If someone begs me for gil, and start acting like a prick about it, well it's /blist add <prick> time. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Maybe I'm just a miserable *******, but I'm a miserable ******* who doesn't have too much beggar spam. I never begged for gil as a newb and for some reason, it really bites my *** when someone does it. Especially when they're an annoying as all hell about it.

As for heading to Davoi early in-game, well, Sandy's mission 2-2, The Davoi Report actually requires you to go to Davoi early in the game, but you can skip this mission. Altana knows, I sure as hell did.

In regards to the Orcish Axes, hell you don't even have to go to Yughott. You can get them right in Ronfaure. So, for me, it's:

I didnt want to do this but I will anyways, this is none of my business but I really feel fondly of Ishido and Haquej. I have a pearl to StercusApperuit I seldomly use it but I love everyone in the LS with the exception of Yekan cause she broke my heart(joke).

Haquej is also a great guy, do you guys remember who was there when we killed the Shadow Lord, Haquej, Yekan, Ishido, me among others. This server is thinning out every minute and we need people to be there when crap hits the fan. I dont expect you guys to kiss and make up, but I also cant just stand aside when my friends are bashing each other on the head.

Haquej is a great BLM, and Ishido I am ashamed to say steals hate from me all the time (I am PLD). You are both really nice guys, and it was all a misunderstanding and crap happens. There is always 3 sides to a story, yours theirs and the truth, no need to add anyone on either thread, you are both awesome players and ultimately great people.

Because it was posted in the "wrong" thread, and I don't feel like getting policed, here's a copy of what was said in dispute of my addition (Bakemono) to the Players to Watch for thread:

Quote:
Ok ok, I just HAD to sign up for the forum after hearing that you're talking sh*t about me. Now, what I said is true. You're going to say you didn't mpk me? Ok, let's see. How is it that I'm resting in an area where there are NO sahagins at all, and all of a sudden I see you fleeing coming at me..and next thing you know..I have 5-6 sahagins on me? Coinsidence? No.

Oh, and you blisted me, eh? If I could send you a picture of my face, that would show you how much I cared...but since I won't, use your imagination. I'm not stupid.

Oh, and for the other person who said I was in his/her sister's linkshell...I dunno wtf you talking about. And doubt whoever you ARE talking about is a girl. Must be a mithra or something using a male character. What LS is this you speak of I was in? Enlighten me.

Now, in response...fleeing? No. Recap. I was fighting 3 sahagin by mythril door. Zyrin was AFK at the time, and I was passing time by stealing mythril coins. I got links, but bfd, I'm a big girl and can handle it. I saw *you* run by, Bakemono, while I was fighting the first sahagin. You didn't /tell me until about 3 seconds after I had killed my last link. I was STILL STANDING by the mythril door! So, no, considering that I never moved from where I was standing from the first time I saw you until the time you /telled me...you're full of it.

When I TOLD YOU SO, you basically insulted me by implying I was lying. Now, tell me...how the hell would I get level 47-49 sahagins to agg a 75 drk anyway? What would be the point? If I wanted to MPK a 75, I'd get down the higher sahagins from the gold door...which I never went near. (And, since I didn't know you until that day, that would be pretty dumb since I had no reason to dislike you until that sweet little accusation.)

The only thing I ever did was fight some easy-*** sahagins by the mythril door. I have no idea how or why you got attacked. Deal.

Merry Christmas.

To respond to your question to me,

Kakaw and Bomber's LS, whatever it was named. LegendsofFFXI I think.

Now that you know who I'm talking about I'm sure, you know why I said what I said. Everytime I watched my sister play and you were on, you were one of the single most elitist people I have ever seen. You are not a god for being that level. I don't care how much time you put into it, because this is a video game.

And I blacklisted you for telling someone off in a shout, not to get a rise out of you. I didn't hear the whole conversation, I just zoned into it. Take your flame wars to /tells instead of spamming shouts. I shouldn't have to filter it to avoid this.

Ok, now I know who you're talking about. Your lovely little sister, who's name I recall is....

"MASAIA"

Alright, alright.

#1. Masaia never told me I was ever mean to her. Infact, EVERYONE in LEGENDSOFFFXI, thought Masaia was real snooty, Arrogant and always wanted to contradict everything everyone said. AHA, I know you will never notice that since she's your "sister", obviously, but I could care less. Hell, even Bomber himself sent me a tell once saying he was intimidated by her.

#2. Blacklist me if you want, hell bluelist me if it ever comes in one of the new updates, just don't tell me about it. I could care less. You have to mind your god damn bussiness and stop being such a kitchen maid. So nosy.

3#. In the LS, I never even spoke to you. NOT ONCE, you were an a-hole all the way, I don't speak to people like you. (Hey, I guess it's inherited)So what gives you right to speak like you know me? To me, you're trying to sound like a "somebody". Give me a reason to think you know me and I may consider it. "DON'T JUDGE IF YOU DON'T KNOW ME"

#4. Do you you understand Japanese? If not, you should get smacked with the nearest boulder around for assuming sh*t without even knowing what's going on. All my search comment said was.."#1, got MPKED by Ixaera..#2,got a tell from her friend insulting me. Waiting GM call.." And this of course, was to warn all Japanese players in the zone about the unneccesary little situacions that can occur when near them. Not like I started insulting like a mad man.

#5. Please, I don't need to go back to history class. You're not a women's right movement activist, so lay off the drama. When you get tricked a couple of dozens times about a female character being a female in real life, things like.."Oh, I bet it's really a guy" tend to come out your move.

And last but not least....

The most import question is,

"Who are you?" I've seen your names a couple of times when I was in that linkshell, never spoke to you..yet you try and judge my way of being? Not working here, try and find someone else to bother.

I partied with Masaia this morning in Valkurm; she was PLD, I was a NIN. I didn't find her snotty or arrogant at all, we had a SAM that was playing General Patton, but she was very tolerant and polite throughout.

I don't know how she was in the LS, but judging by her behaviour when I was with her she's not at all arrogant.
Arrogant players don't usually humor a new player telling them how to do their jobs.
#62 Jan 02 2005 at 6:55 PM Rating: Decent
Who cares if Bomber had an attitude? His brother ownend the linkshell and he pretty much had the power to spit, smack, and crack anyone's pearl. No one was even treating her bad, everyone was just replying back to what she used to say.

EX:
Masaia: OH SKIETH STFU YOU KNOW I COULD OWN YOU IN BALLISTA
Skieth: ..............
Masaia: You know what I'm not arguing with you any longer, leave me the wefiugvreutgjt29u43j9834jtgri9tfrj alone.

Now, those weren't their exact words, but the situation.

As for your claims that she was "harassed" etc etc etc..
Well, if you're such a noble hearted ritous person why didn't you do "everything" in your will to take her out? If she felt harrased, and dispite that didnt leave, then it's her fault. Not anyone elses.

It doesn't take me to have to know you to call you an a-hole. Sure, we never spoke to each other..but that doesn't mean I never read your conversations in the LS. You reply sarcastically and think you know it all. Anyway, if we're speaking about ''judging here'' you started off talking crap about me being this and that on that "bad player alert list" thinking I wouldn't see it.

I owe no one an apology, and I suggest you mind your own bussiness. Unless you were at his/her house and saw the /tell conversation when we spoke, you know nothing.

And last but not least...why the hell are you mentioning "defaming" in this conversation...?
Ever realized that the topic in which my name was put in as "Bad player alert" is to defame people? Sure, it "alerts" people about "bad players", but it "defames" these players.

I know I'm not innocent, no one is, but I pretty much think you're using the Ixaera topic as your main weapon to attacking me with accusations. You find your "you harrased my sister" accusation not strong enough to make me try and feel bad, and begin to use the IXAERA topic fortify your claims.

SIOUX>>>> Join any linkshell she's in and maybe you'll eventually find the truth behind my words. Partying with someone doesn't give you enough time to see how someone is in general.

"Well I'm going to just say this and then let you have your come back because you're worse than a little boy."

Great, this is an excellent way to say "I have no arguement at all, let's just stop because I'm running out of possible claims against you"

You clearly stated at the end of your post that you're through. My little boy come back is:

1) Don't stick your head in where you haven't been called too. (Of course, meaning mind your own bussiness.) I don't know you, you don't know me..and well, you shouldn't start claiming false accusations about me. You could have at least sent me a /tell telling me I was "harrasing" your sister and you did not like it, which you nor her never did. Hell, you could say you hit me with the bat when I wasn't looking. Caught me by surprise.

2)You say Ixaera didn't do it, eh? You weren't there..so it would be in my deepest wishes and curiousities to know how the hell you could state such thing. The third person in this situation (which is you) should be in the position to say "I need to see both versions of the story" but you're obviously taking Ixaera's side because you have an accusation of your own. Hehe :)

3) He who laughs last laughs the best, or so I think it goes like that. From what you posted, seems like I got the last the reply(or should I say laugh?). Hooray, GRATS to me :) Now, if you post a reply you'd be breaking your words.

Those who know me in Vanadiel know what kind of person I am. So again, get to know me (Which I doubt you ever will with your attitude nor would be whilling to) and you'll see i'm the total opposite of what you said I was.

Actually, I'll second that. seraphim probably made that assumption because I backed up a previous third-person experience he had with Bakemono.

But bfd.

It's true that no one but me, Zyrin, and Bakemono -- and a GM since they can indeed pull up at least /tells and other chat modes -- would know for sure that I did not do as Bakemono claimed.

I really don't care that Bakemono didn't believe me. I've experienced trains myself in ssg and didn't know what to think. What I *care* about was that he didn't even stop to *think* about it, didn't give me even the smallest benefit of the doubt.

The only moving I ever did was to pull down a Greatclaw from the bridge over the lake, stay to re-establish its attention when it entered the room, and pull it to Zyrin. We were skilling up. Since the crab takes 16 mins to respawn, I would steal mythril coins from the easy sahagin around the lake. The first time I saw you, Bakemono, it was when you came by the mythril door (from the opposite side of me).

I don't know how you think you saw me flee by, since I didn't use flee once. I remember you kept saying I must have called for help...I dunno wtf that was about...but no, I didn't.

And if someone trained you on purpose, to hell with them. It's a rotten thing to do, trust me...I know.

If you don't like people calling you out in public for something you said and did...that's just too bad. Forgive me for standing up for myself.
#67 Jan 03 2005 at 1:59 AM Rating: Decent
I received no /tells from you at all. I was in game the whole time and not one tell. However, Masaia did /tell me.

As for Ixaera --->

Well yeah, that's too bad you did call my name out in public, isn't it? Not gonna start a flame war here, but I guess this is the only way you can try and defame me, huh? By writting stuff on a forum to get people to dislike me? Remember, "the majority wins" So luck on your side. I coulda have done the same and posted what you did to me here...but I did not do it.

"I WOULDA SHOULDA COULDA BUT DIDN'T"

My way of letting you know I did not like what you did to me will go based on what is in both of our minds, the truth. But that won't work anymore, with spilled it out in public like this, which I don't mind. If this your way of handling stuff, so be it. It's over and I don't really care what people think of me.

next time we start one of these threads, let's call it

"TALK CRAP ABOUT PEOPLE HERE: ALSO NO ONE READ THIS CRAP BECAUSE IT IS CRAPPY."

and that way, since no one reads, and everyone vents, we all get to move on after we have a bad day or whatever.

I suppose my putting your name on a forum list of people to be wary of is in *no* way comparable to what you put in your search comment?

Nice try.

No dice, and I'm not sorry for adding your name here. People *should* know what you did, and maybe save themselves some trouble in some way.

Anyway. You can go on and on all you like about "truth." I'm going to do something more productive, like watch grass grow.
#70 Jan 03 2005 at 7:53 AM Rating: Decent
Keep what I wrote "about you" saved on to yout pc..learn Japanese..read it throughtly, and then maybe I'll accept an arguement over that.

For all you know, it could have said "Ixaera is the most wonderful person in this world", but since you can't even understand it and simply have to assume....too bad.

Infamouskiller 1st off to the bard i got d/c sorry calm down it happens 2nd off my sub blm 17 was for warp when farming and i have lvled it since then 3rdly longshanks i dont care if you blist me you are bossy and rude to others i dont care thank you

This one goes out to Infamouskiller. He seems to have seen some of the posts about him and decided to respond to my post about him in particular as seen in the first half of the quote above. I'm posting my argument to him in this thread so as not to clutter up the thread that isn't meant for arguments.

You say you got disconnected but directly after you leveled I distinctly saw you go into the healing position (why would you heal after that battle? You're MP and HP go to full after you level up so there's no reason to) and soon after you did, you went out of game, which just makes me believe it was a clean log-out which as I said before, I hate, because you did it in the middle of a pull which was very inconsiderate and could have caused us much trouble.

Disconnects do happen you're right about that. But what usually makes it ok is people come back. You did not. If you did disconnect as you say you did, you didn't make much of an effort to come back because the party was there for about 10, maybe slightly more minutes after you left and you never showed up. We waited a little to see if you would come back and you did not so we pulled another Knight Crawler to kill to get the BLM his level since he was like 115 tnl AND he D2'd all of us out and after all that you still hadn't returned. So if you did really get disconnected it doesn't seem like you put too much effort into getting back on to re-join the party.

It's not like it's just me either. You've been added to the list four to five different times which means something is wrong. If someone has been added to the list once, ok, i'll cut them some slack maybe they were having a bad day, everyone has bad days. However if you've been added to the list as many times as you have then something is wrong.

I just particularly hate when people disband from a party on purpose in the middle of a pull which is what you did. It's a very irresponsible act.

Yeah, Reo really loves helping himself. That's why he farmed silk threads with me for hours in Rolanberry Fields, giving up about 20k in profit so I could level clothcrafting.

Your view of the event is completely biased, my friend. YOU made a mistake putting your scythe in your bazaar for a ridiculous price, and from what I hear, you have a lot of your other "facts" wrong, too. Please stop smearing my good friend's name now.

To Typongtive's defense of Gween:

Quote:
For your info dry, Gween is an excellent Dragoon, warrior and bard. So what if he sucked at RDM. It was his party,SO he could use it how he saw fit.

So you're saying that whenever we get invited to parties now, we should ask the leader if he's going to do his job correctly? Being that, you know, since its their party, they won't have to? So, if I lead a party, being a White Mage and all, I have the authority to say "I don't want to heal, I want to melee."? And I can throw my weight around and order the members to adhere to it? And use them to get exp while I fail my job and let my party members die? Wow, I'll be sure to remember that, thanks!

Unbelievable.

I could go on about what a RDMs job is, but that is a tired old argument that any self-respecting player knows the answer to anyway. I'm not making a point against that anyway.

And

Quote:
just because someone doesnt have a spell yet, does not mean they suck. Sometime economics just dont play in your favor. How many WHM you know dont have Erase????? Quite a few.

Well, I guess I'm on your good list, I have Erase. But Dispel isn't 400k. I *do* have sympathy for the 70k charge, because if 32 is your highest job, yeah, that's really hard to make. But it'd be nice to put that in a search comment. There are places you can exp without needing Dispel at that point, hoewver it's going to be needed someday.

Your sig says you're a 50 Black Mage. Have you fought Crabs without Dispel yet? If not, you'll see why Dispel will be your best friend.

Now let's look at melee's perspective, think about the Defense Boost and Evasion Boost abilities beetles and crabs have. And for a more extreme example, think of level 32 when you get Dispel. BEFORE Sniper's Rings. You're probably in Garlaige or Altepa at that point fighting Beetles. Which can boost their Evasion by an ungodly proportion. See why Melees want Dispel too? THIS is why people demand RDMs to have Dispel. It's not so much arrogance and ignorance as it is not wanting the fights to last 5 minutes or more.

And then take into consideration the types of monsters that parties typically exp off of. Starting from 32:

Beetles - Evasion Bonus ability
Crawlers - Defense Bonus Ability
Crabs - Defense and Magic Defense Bonus Ability
Goblins - Protect/Shell/Spikes

Not having Dispel makes the fights that much longer. Erase can help too, but not *nearly* as effectively as Dispel. This is why people tend to let the White Mage alone about not having the spell. Because not only is it wildly overpriced for it's extremely limited usefulness, but Dispel will be used much much much more often, and once you start fighting robber crabs, you'll not be in a party without it without a BRD. Assuming they have Finale themselves.

Sorry to go on a tangent about that spell, but comparing it to Erase was a bit much. Bottom line, the majority of the people playing this game who seek a party (unless otherwise specified) are seeking to gain experience points and they want to do so efficiently. So certain expectations are made. Regardless of whether or not it's just a game, real people are playing it and real people have desires. If you have a problem with people wanting things in a party,

A rdm in CN without dispel is like a paladin without provoke. Well, maybe not that bad, but dispelling is really the most important thing they can do. Deadweight without it.

I don't really care if he's level 75 (or even 80 for all I care) DRG, WAR, or BRD. The fact is he did poorly at RDM and saw no reason NOT to do poorly. Yes, he was the leader...but any good party won't have a leader calling all the shots. Any good party will talk a decision over with everyone and come to a decision. I can't tell you the last time I was the leader of a party (maybe at 12RDM) but in 99 out of 100 parties I'm the one calling the skillchain, regardless of the class I'm playing at the time. I'm not bossy, but I find a SC fast and make sure it's effective against the mob family and ask if everyone else is okay with it or has any other suggestions. They're generally enthusiastic about it.

Also, I did not know I was paying my monthly fee just to be a tool to be used by some schmuck who didn't feel like putting in the effort simply because his current job was only a sub. Guess what, you think BLM is my main? I was still doing my damnedest. I had all my spells current, was keeping hate off me and bursting every time. I even brought a bunch of yag juices to pass out to other mages (pre-41, after all). I offered him to the PLD a bunch of times but he had pineapple juices so he said he was okay. And yes, he was popping juices CONSTANTLY because the fights were lasting so long and the RDM wasn't backup healing.

It sounds like I whined? How in the h*ll do you figure that? I asked him to Dispel please. He said no. I asked, why not? He said 80K {No thanks.} I mentioned that I had my Dispel scroll on me when I was a level 31 RDM, even when that was my highest job. All he said was "Pff good for you". At that point everyone else in the party started saying it wasn't a good excuse. One member, not me, even said something to the extent of: "Teleport-Altep, 500 gil. Scroll of Dispel, 70,000 gil. Not being in a party with a bossy, ****** RDM, priceless."

I'll stress it wasn't just that he didn't have Dispel. If he had said, "I'm sorry. It's very expensive and I'm having trouble farming for it" I probably would have bought the damn scroll for him. But that's not how he acted.

The second part of my "whining" (I'll explain it again) was after the JP PLD had asked him 7+ times, "{Enfeebling Magic} {please} {Red Mage}" and he still wasn't debuffing. He started nuking with Stone and Water doing 1-2 points of damage each time. He would blow ALL his limited MP that way. At this point my Fire II bursts were landing for about 300, which I think is pretty good for that level considering I'm an Elvaan. I pointed out that his nukes were a waste of MP and for him to please use his MP to enfeeble and backup heal so the PLD wouldn't be juicing/resting so often. He said, ********** you, I'm getting good skillups". I suggested he join a skillup party for skillups. That was when he asked me if there was anything else I wanted to ***** about (after I had made only 2 comments) and that is when I told him I'd already said enough to illustrate that he sucked at RDM. And that is when he kicked me.

One part I didn't mention was that after he kicked me from the party, everyone else disbanded his party, formed their own and invited me. The remaining members complimented me after that party disbanded. Sounds like I was the black sheep, right? If you would have booted me too, then post your in-game name so I could put you right beneath your buddy on my blist. I love partying with good people, and I don't like when lazy people ruin it.

EDIT: Yes, I realize some people can have a bad day and wind up on the bad player's list, as we saw with Ishido. But I would never posted anyone's name if they were just ******** up: missing their bursts, were off on their Refresh cycle, had trouble keeping hate, etc. It generally requires them to have a TERRIBLE attitude in conjunction with at least one of the following: a) TERRIBLE gear (e.g., a lv50 wearing lv7 gear); b) TERRIBLE skill (e.g., not Dispelling, enfeebling, or healing as a RDM); or c) TERRIBLE choice of or far underleveled subjob.

None of the 3 (even if someone met all of them) would warrant me posting their name on here. But when they start having a bad attitude about it, I start wanting to warn others.

Gween was not having a bad day.
