You needed to bump it because no one gives a crap enough to post on it. Its like 5 people in total commenting about everyone else. Why don't you just let it die. This whole last page have been bumps. If people find it useful they will post on it, no need for bumps. Bumping the thread in attempt to recruit the 6th or 7th to your little club so you'll have more people to gossip with isn't very productive. Most of the threads are just interraction between those 5 people anyways.
This is just like the good player thread where the same people kept on patting each other on the back. If people wanna gripe, let them make a new thread, sooner or later they'll learn not to when their post dissapear in one day cause no one care. You think this thread will prevent the spamming of multiple complaining threads? look at this whole forum, look at how many "Rants" threads there are. This forum in essenced is already full of Spam. It was a valient attempt, now let it go. Nataraja, and you wondered why you keep getting karma trolled because you keep offering your self out to them by doing these things. This whole board is getting Karma Trolled too. Be like some people and just post less, or post something of substance <YES PREASE> Hey look I just helped bumped this even more, darn it.
Byaina, I ask your pardon, I'm going to hijack this exactly once. I give you my promise I will not hijack it with this conversation further without your leave. But I feel the following needs to be said.
I'm rating down the post I've quoted above, and here is
why.
It shows a complete disregard for several facts, as well as an exageration of the state of several situations.
A wide number of people use both lists, far more than 5, as you stipulated. I see no cause to go and count, but the threads are free and available for anyone curious enough to count the various posters.
Actual reading of the posts in each show a number of things.
By and large the bad players list is NOT a place of gossip. The word gossip carries the conotation of being full of half-truths and exagerations. What occurs in that thread is people relating their bad experiences, generally following strict rules set up by Byaina and well-enforced by a variety of posters. It is generally orderly, and provides members of this community with some warning regarding players, and explanations as to why. In my opinion it has rarely been anything but polite, except in extreme cases.
Regarding the good player threads, there have been cases of back-patting I will admit, but a large number of those listed there are
not members of this community, and would probably be very surprised to find that people they've helped have appreciated it to the extent that they broadcast it to their community.
Both serve useful functions which I think benefit our community as a whole.
At the very
least I see no reason for you to be irritated to such an extreme regarding them. If you do not like them, simply avoid them. No one is forcing you to click on them.
Regarding the bumping of this thread, it's done in an attempt to keep seperate the actual list of bad players, and any arguements that may develope from the list. As such I applaud you for posting here.
However your post was rude and scathing to the community at large, erroneous to a large extent, and carries an elitest attitude which I personally do not appreciate, as a member of this community. Hence the rate down.
Regarding spam, if this were the tradeskill, job, or race forums I could understand irritation at what you term spam. I just fail to see how it applies to a message board which serves as a place of general communication between members of a community.
This forum's sole purpose is for Bismarckians to communicate. If they chose to talk about a wide range of topics, full of tangents and inconsequential posts, then that is the community-at-large's perogative.
Regarding my own posts, I see little reason to defend myself, as I have no real interest in trying to persuade you of my own usefulness to this community. Besides, that's not really my call.
However I will say that at the very least your knowledge of my posts is remarkably incomplete. I recommend you do some research into all the various types of post I've made before accusing me of rendering nothing
but spam in my contributions to this community.
You seem unhappy with this forum Bowser.
Your anger and flaming, especially with inaccurate information as supporting documentation, will do nothing to change it.
I freely offer you this advice: Accept the forum how it is, work to change those things you don't like through patience, reason, and polite words. Or leave.
Understand, I am not
asking you to leave. I really could care less. But if you are that displeased with it and see no reason to stay other than to provide flames (which certainly do nothing to better the forum by the standards you seem to have), then I suggest you leave and find a forum in which you feel more at home.
But in the meantime, drop the damned attitude and quit the flaming. It's rude, it's immature, and it only makes those things you dislike about this forum worse in the long run.
