Xyoflite
This guy seemed cocky from the get go, but not a big deal. He had some beef with our SAM for no apparent reason, kept asking him what other jobs he's played...told him that SAMs were easily replaceable, that sort of thing.
Well we were still fighting and getting some exp while he continued to be an ***, and in the middle of a fight with a goblin in Gustav tunnel, he decides to Teleport-Holla the whole party because "He's ready to go." Turns out I was out of the port range and I would have been a goner if the gob wouldn't have hesitated after the port, or if my warp would have interrupted(I knew my AF boots weren't useless).
I warn my LS of him and hear nothing but good things about him...so I don't know what your personal experiences are with him- but I think his little move deserves to be known.
Wanted to second this and maybe provide a little more info, as I was in the same party.
The SAM in the party suggested the BLM burst with Freeze. Xyoflite said no it's a waste of MP, he knows from experience. As noted, he was quite arrogant, but otherwise nice. The leader says we'll try it anyway, and if it doesn't work out well, we can try Water III (Blizzaga II wouldn't have worked). Xyoflite threw a small fit, but let it go.
(At this point, please understand that both Seloan the BLM and I marked the MP inefficiency of AM, even on the burst. This point is not being disputed).
Average damage was:
Tachi:Enpi landed for 150.
Rampage landed for 450.
Distortion landed for 250
Freeze MB (BLM) landed for 1150.
Blizzard II MB (RDM) landed for 300.
Net damage, 2300.
MP was generally not an issue and in the hour-long party I didn't have to Convert at all. At one point the SAM said, "See? Freeze burst isn't so bad." Xyoflite lost it and demanded the SAM tell him all the jobs he had leveled and how far. The SAM just shrugged it off and ignored him. Xyoflite demanded an answer as time went on and then started throwing threats around. SAM leaves or he leaves; SAM shouldn't be wearing Mentor flag. That sort of thing. The SAM is pretty much just keeping his cool, saying "Look, you're just trying to start trouble with the grilling, and I won't play into it." Xyoflite then runs to the other side of the melee and casts Teleport-Holla, which I interpreted as an attempt to port the melee and leave them without the BLM (D2). That's just my guess, though. Then he disbands.
I did a /sea and saw he was seeking again. I gave a /shout in Lower Jeuno just to give people a heads-up about his tactics. All he had to say was, "Hey, I'll tell anyone the same thing: if you disagree with me during an XP party, your that party is over." A few people piped up with, "I guess that means I'm not inviting you", and the like, but he didn't seem bothered, just laughing it off in /shout.
My experience with LS members was the same; I guess he's a really nice 75 BRD. Unfortunately, when he had to reduce himself to leveling his sub he ruined our XP session just because we didn't follow his orders.
Maybe he is a nice guy, but I'll never party with him again. Inefficient or unskilled players can slow it down altogether, but this guy can and will stop XP in it's tracks, and waste my 20K 3-hour food.
