I didn't say he was a bad player, he was a rude player. or to quote myself "unsavory".
You guys seem to be missing my point.
I left Kfcc alone after he said that he didn't want a party. But after a few minutes and he's still got his lfg flag up (which means "Looking for group" for the people that don't seem to understand that phrase. LFG does not mean "I have a party already", it means "I'm waiting to be asked to one.")
If he already had a party coming or forming or whatever, it would be courteous to take your flag down. He had his flag up, and did not intend to exp. And I kindly asked him *later* what his reason for not wanting to party was, but he did not return the kindness by simply answering or just taking his flag down.
I was rude to a rude person.
In response to Dustybin, I've had my share of people who inquire me why I don't want to party. Each time I had just gotten an invite prior to their /tell, and I answer them nicely about it.
The conversation didn't go anything like what you gave as an example:
Quote:
a guy i'd never met before sent me a random tell for a party it went something like this.
Him: Hi {party}
Me: No thank you
Him: Why dont you want to party with me
Me: I just dont thanks, I have a party forming
Him: We have a really great setup though
Me: Sorry I cant
Him: Why though?
Me: Well I have a static, I dont level outside of that on this job
Him: Its going to be great XP
Me: Sounds awesome good luck with it...
You did the kind thing by simply answering his question, but he didn't get the point and thus was a rude player.
But.......you even said yourself:
Quote:
while in Jeuno (my flag on as static was forming), a guy i'd never met before sent me a random tell for a party
It wasn't a random tell, you had your flag up which means you were looking for a party.
If you were forming a static, you shouldn't need to put it up, as invites can be sent regardless of the lfg flag. This is something that can be quite frustrating for people who are trying to use the LFG system properly. Please take your flag down if you have a party already set up or are on your way to one (common courtesy, not too difficult).
Again Kfcc had his flag up, but no intention of partying. This is rude. I did not pester him about his flag until a few minutes later (when his flag was still up). He simply did not provide an answer for my question about his already rude conduct. He did this solely for the purpose of pissing people off (which he admitted to enjoying at a later date).
