Amaya is a fun time bard I like to help out. I first met her crying on the steps of Garliage Citadel lfg. After scolding Garliage Citadel, I stayed and kept her company for a while and tried to make her happy! She's really good as a Bard! I had the pleasure of running around with her through various places. It was a lot of fun!

Aww thats my little sis, I'm gonna have to show her this thread she is gonna be so happy. She always talks about you Namfoodle, makes me envious lol.

But anyway I would like to nominate Krack & Jubon because they offered to help me get my Garliage Citadel coffer key. I never did get it with them because I had a horrible DC but they were so amazing for taking their time to help me out. ^^

Ah..I noticed Amaya mentioned :-)

I second that! I partied with her in the dunes and she was a great player. Very nice and she knew what she was doing. I'd love the chance to party with her again.

I'm just replying to bump this thread because I noticed that it fell onto the second page today. I was almost in shock.

I have been blessed to have come across many great players in my 5 months on FFXI. Amongst them, a few stood out, but none more than:

- the greatest RDM to ever exist, Merodi. I met her when i was a young lv15ish or so noob in Valkurm Dunes. She and I have kept in touch and as it happens we are now in the same level range and we have actually exp'd a few times, as well as gone in great adventures (AF and what not) together. Nobody but Mero could have made me feel less of a goofball wearing my WHM AF (Bozo Condom hat and disco pants). I luv ya, Mero! She's always there for me, and she knows I'm ALWAYS there for her.

- the funniest BLM to ever exist, Syntax. Syntax is the funniest little Tarutaru I have ever met. Not a day goes by that he doesn't crack a joke or makes something incredibly funny to brighten up my day. If i'm ever in a bad mood (especially when i die 9,10,11 times leveling BST), all i need to do is look to Syntax to cheer me up. If you ever come across him, ask him to do the 'horny taru dance'. Infantile? Perhaps. Hilarious? OMG, yes.

- the wisest DRK to grace Vana'diel, Imhotep. Imho is another great Tarutaru that I met in my earlier 'noobier' days. He guided me, and taught me to be a better player. He's on a break from the game now. I miss that little taru dude.

And of course, there are so many others friends I've made in this great Vana'diel of ours.

Thank you all for a great FFXI experience!

-Apollo.

Apollonious, you're not going down without being on here too.

This isn't just another -hey, he's my friend, let's put him up here- kinda post. Apollonious definitely deserves a spot up here.

First off, as a whm, he is excellent. With the best gear gil can afford, somehow or other, he is there fully decked. I haven't partied with any other whm that has the stuff he has. And it isn't just for show either, he knows how to use his skills. Death on a party? That's next to non-existant. But usually when it does, he's the one to take all the agro because he refuses to let one of us die! (Dang you Apollo ^^) Luckily, he's a smart man. Reraise is his best friend. I trust him with my life whole-heartedly, and he has never let me down.

Secondly, he is an incredible person. His heart is even bigger than his wallet. On one such occasion, he stayed up beyond beddie by time to help out a random person in AF need. And when times got desperate, here's a man willing to shell out 100k of his own money to help that guy try to get help from others. (Yes, we all thought he was crazy) But when I was in AF need, he was there for me as much as possible. He's died for me countless times during those excursions and has kept on smiling.

Third, Apollo has amazing personality. I can smile and get through a day and a lackluster party so long as he's around. He lends a helping hand whenever he can, and I can't thank Altana enough for letting me meet him. He's grown up so fast, and now he's my idol ^^

You meet him, you know you're in good hands as a WHM or any other job he'd choose.

I'd like to add two of my LS mates to this thread that I just recently got to party with this weekend.

Noxx is a incredible WHM and BLM, as we partied with both this weekend. She would even stop nuking at times as BLM to heal me when I messed up and forgot to get Utsusemi ready. :P As WHM, none are better. With a RDM, she's unstoppable. Without one, ok, she has to rest once in a while, but still is amazing. Very, very few WHMs can compare to her. I find myself not wanting to go exping without her as my WHM, and that's not just 'cause we're engaged. :P

Vimes is a RDM possesed. He's incredible at his job, keeping 5 people refreshed at almost all times (I was the only non-magic user in the party, I felt so alone ; ;). It was insane to watch. I think I saw more Refresh animations in that one party than I've seen in all my time playing FFXI.

I would like to post a few people that have helped me out incredably...

Theophany- This is one of the people, that with out thinking took me in, when I was a simple level six noob, gave me a link pearl, and became my friend. He power leveled me, he has helped me out on many an occaision, and His help is probably what kept me on the game..Thanks for being kool man^^

Dnothoran- The other buddy that took me into the Theo's ls that day, He spent an hour, 5 fire crystals and alot of patients...all to make me a bronze ring. He is mad kool, and even tho I surpassed him in levels, he will always be my mad kool leveling buddy like we used to in Ghelsba.

Stay kool guys..and thanks^^

I hope this doesn't appear snooty, but I would like to mention a couple people from my own linkshell if I could. I know that LS members (or at least I feel) should be almost obligated to help out other members, but these three guys seem to go above and beyond.

Stryknine
Viledarkness
Blueriver

They were already well into the game when I started and have helped me out quite a bit.

I've had the pleasure of partying a few times with Theophany, and I'll second his addition to this list.

I'd also like to add Daive and Snoopywoopy to this list, for being exceptionally nice players. They go out of their way to be friendly. :)

A person I really think belongs on this list is (currently) a lv 50 DRK by the name of:

Bauka

This guy, though may seem tuff, will always lend out a helping hand. Very encouraging and determined. You will always see him with TOP gear, may it be a life belt, newest scythes, and always knowing his responsibility in a party. If you want a good DRK who will work hard and do his job, Bauka is your man.

In Memory of Leonn, a good buddy of mine who no longer plays for many reason, was a great paladin. He always helped me and even went on SAM to party with me in dunes a few times. Though hes moving on and not playing ff11 no more, I will one day meet his level and hopefully become a good tank like this guy.

Both of these guys are great guys, if you see Bauka, give the drk an invite ;).

You didnt put yourself nata. ^^ Anyone that doesnt like this fine war right here has never had a good one.

Always willing to help, great jokes and can go when the going gets tough.

I'd like to add some people to the list of great people.

Kusemono :(usto be revenda) good real life friend, always willing to help, uber party maker and joiner, all around great person.

Nataraja : great war, snappy jokes, witty come backs and all around great player.

Decious : great ninja and always making people laugh with his jokes that only 2 people ever really get.

Anubislg : cause well, hes my babe ^.^, hes an uber whm and great person willing to help you or anyone else with anything you ask him to do.

Shadiest : hahah all I gotta say. Hes just uber.

Tulip : great person that should be treated with respect always.

Shizuma : one of the finest dragoons I know and great person...treat him kindly.

All though their are so many people to name for the most part anyone in BlueAbyss and OrderOfAntipathy are great players and people, if you come across anyone from these groups its your lucky day!

Not to bash Shadiest but, my first run in with him, I thought he was a douschbag. He wouldn't walk over one grid space on the map and raise me when I was just a toddler to this game. Alerek asked him nicely... not demanding... we offered money... and he said "It's not my problem."

Maybe it was a bad night... maybe he's racist and doesn't like Taru's? I have nothing against him though. I'm sure he's a great player... player hater...

I would like to second Omni's nomination for himself. Omni is an amazing black mage. He taught me how to be a black mage last night in the jungle and it was great. He really knows his stuff and he is very good at his job. :)

No Omni, I feel you really deserve the nomination. It was a pleasure partying with you, we should do it again sometime. And if you ever need some advice on whm, don't hesitate to ask. heh

Time to add more to the list. Some have been mentioned before:

Raquellcasull, Namfoodle, and the rest of Oribit- I had been meaning to do my AF3 for awhile and just couldn't seem to get enough people in Jeuno together. Well Nam heard me shout and lo and behold through a series of /tells set me up to have a run with his LS the very next day. Raq happens to be there too as well as Yurriko; all grand and fabulous people. I've known Raq since she first started Bard and I first started playing the game. She's always taken the time to say hi or ask me how I am if we're nearby. ^^ Nam does the same, I love it when he sends me /tells to my bazaaring mules as to how he's doing, whether he's completed his AF, got to Rank 6, or finished some hard quest. I really wish I was awake to cheer him on! :) Yurri, every time I see her she takes the time to say hello, and it means a bunch, seeing as I don't see her too often.

All these nice people along with some new nice people I met from Oribit and the ever lovely members of my set PT (Almo, Lainn, Sindl, Nye, Aisha DC'd somewhere o_O;;) went with me to zip through to kill that nasty Bugaboo and now I look and feel like a real Bard. ^^ Thank you guys!

Houston- A very uber BST and BLM (don't let him know that I said that though :P) he's always willing to help out me and just about everyone who asks. Whenever I mention some quest, mission, or task that has to be done Houston offers to help out and always offers first.

Begil and Femme- They've helped me out too many times to count. o_O;; They basically helped me get my foothold in this game. Went with me to get keys, helped me with Genkais and Rank missions. They take more time out than they should to help the LS out and I've come to realize that more more lately. They're good players and excellent people. Thanks guys!

I'd like to mention Tetsume: partied with this WAR/NIN in the Nest a little while ago, and was amazed that he (she?) was able to hold hate off 2 black mages, a ranger, and a drk...at the same time. Simply a fantastic tank!

Cheers!

I had the pleasure of partying with Predator. This elvaan thief strategizes his skill beautifully. Unfortunately, CN lag got to him every now and again, but he's great at working out his skillchains and catching up on missed renkeis when he has TP. Bravo to him and I hope to pt with him again.

I actually had a pretty good PT last night in crawlers nest. I'd like to add Warinton (sp?) to this list if he isnt' already. This PLD just loves getting hated on. He made my job of nuking away so much fun. I didn't have to worry about getting hate at all. And there were 2 BLMs nukin away.
