Speaking of which, Cookie Clicker has a new update in Beta... who knows when it'll have the bugs worked out and made into the actual game though?

Wall Destroyer is another good idle game, with pretty constant updates. The developer is on good terms with the community and as CC has slowed down, it picked up a lot of followers.

I played Clickerheroes on Kongregate for a while. So far the best Idlegame I have encountered. But after I reset the world for the first time via Imhoteps skill (I think it was) I lost interest.

Cruel gaming people.

In my current situation I have to reserve all clicking resources for Diablo. Boy I've not clicked so much since I was making and dealing in Misty Thicket Picnic Baskets.

Guys, apparently the game still plays and farms gold for you even after you close it.

Now we have no excuses.

So, Clicker Heroes... probably one of the better idle games I've played, as it has better graphics, music, and continues while your browser is closed. That said eventually all of these games hit a wall... I've ascended about three times now, and it feels repetitive. I'm at 26 Hero Souls right now, and as I understand it the end game is "hit 75 Hero Souls and then use Energize + Dark Ritual + Reload every hour." Meh... I think I need a new addiction Smiley: grin

I've been doing Clicker Heroes for a couple days... my wife is constantly on my case because I'm not even playing the game, just letting it run itself most of the time. She doesn't understand us Smiley: lol. Still, the ramp on this game is pretty rapid. I think they should make the requirements to move on to the next level higher, as moving on as soon as you can will not let you beat the boss at all Smiley: motz.

New update today. Makes you possibly stronger yet atm weaker No soul gold bonus or CD reduction. You now buy ancients that have various effects that you can level up.

These don't do anything for me. I must be in a different genre of easily addicted gamer. /shrug

I went ahead and unlocked ALL THE THINGS before ascending. Netted me six hero souls. So now I'm on my 2nd play through. Not really going that much faster.

it just gave me 30 hero souls as a thank you for playing just now. I only ascended the one time for 6 souls so that seems like a lot.

Patch notes that pop up when you load the game

Quote:
- LIMITED TIME DEV GIFT: +30 Hero souls to anyone who reaches level 120. Collect it now and buy some great ancients!

Huh, looks like I might need to try it again... lots of changes:

Quote:
LIMITED TIME DEV GIFT: +30 Hero Souls for anyone who reaches level 120.

Added 'Centurion Bosses' every 100 levels. Each one is guaranteed to provide ascension souls (like primal bosses).

Added 'Ancients'. Ancients can be summoned from the Ancients tab if you have hero souls. Ancients are permanent (they survive Ascensions) and each Ancient provides a unique bonus to your game that you can upgrade by spending hero souls on it. There are 26 unique Ancients.

Because these are now provided by the Ancients, we removed the cooldown and gold bonuses from having Hero Souls. For players who really liked their cooldown bonus, 'Vaagur, the Ancient of Impatience' will be available in the first set of ancients you receive.

Importing saves will now calculate your offline gold.

Lots of new achievements.

Changed the 'Super Levelupper' achievement from 100,000 Hero Levels required down to 50,000 Hero Levels required.

Achievements now show progress on mouse-over.

You can now press 'a' to toggle progression mode.

I actually kept playing after my last post anyway, so I currently have 84 Hero Souls. Curious what I'll be able to unlock with those plus the new 30!

(Looks at the prices for Ancients)
Quote:
... Ancient 26, cost 31000 souls

Well, f*ck me Smiley: laugh

At least the one for Cooldown reduction is only 119 to fully level, so I can almost reach 75% cooldown reduction again from the get-go. Of course, now I'm making 50% less gold and I'll lose the 10% per soul DPS boost, so... back to before square one?

Edit: The changes actually look REALLY cool overall, just kind of bitter to be pushed back so far. There's a lot more strategy going on with the 26 ancients and their various effects. Some benefit active players; others benefit those who want to close the browser and idle. Pretty neat.

Yeah, when my Black Hole multiplicator was 1,77 I had enough. I tend to burn out on this kind of game rather quickly.
