The only D3 thread I could find on the first three pages was related to the RMAH closing, so I figured I make a new one.

Anyone enjoying the 2.1 patch here? I must say, I have a blast.
I'm leveling a new season character (very fresh, level 11 or so) but mainly doing Rifts in Torment I for the chance at Rift Trial Keys on my main. Did two Greater Rift runs so far but did not progress beyond difficulty 11 since I play Hardcore and don't want to lose my only Torment-ready character. Have 6 or 7 of the new legendary gems (including the one from the Vault of Greed) and among them there are a few which I really want to use. Leveling them all up will take some time though.

The new tileset, Cesspools, also is nice.

Immediate goals are to get my two other 70s geared up for Torment and to upgrade those new legendary gems. Maybe the seasons will have to wait a bit longer nefore I can really commit.

They fixed the monk, my bae. She's still got some issues, but she's much better now.

I've been pretty happy with the patch, myself.

My main is a Monk, too. Before 2.1 Torment I Rifts were pretty intimidating and I did them only a few times. Now I think I could go up to at least Torment II. Haven't tried it yet, though. Too frightened. Smiley: lol

I was comfortably clearing T1, with the occasional foray into T2. Now I'm clearing T3 with ease, and starting to eye T4. It's been great, because I feel this level is about wher eI should have been given the amount of time I spent on the character.

Picked it up yesterday and I've really been enjoying it. Is there a Zam guild of sorts?

I just grabbed the expansion as well and started playing again. I planned on starting over but since I never completed the game I would have to roll a new hero, which I don't want to do. Playing from the middle of Act II with all of the changes is a bit weird.

I'm waiting for a sale to purchase Reaper of Souls. But Blizzard sales are few and far in between. Maybe when they release the Ultimate edition for the next Gens they'll do a sale?

My main is a Monk, too.
So is mine!

If you ignore the fact that I haven't played D3 in over 1.5 years.
Also stupid that the last it saved of me was my farming gear and not my good gear.

I started playing my monk again last night.

Very different now. 30 minutes of just ******** around and I find rates that are 3x betting than the old good stuff I farmed the AH for. Went from like 1600 does to almost 4000 or 5000. Not sure exactly cause it was late last night. I had two swords with gems and found two new fist weapons with huge dex boosts and like 2-2.5x higher base damage.

Not even sure where I am at. I beat the game in normal before I left and think I'm in normal act II just ******** around. Looks like rares drop all the time now from special monsters. And ones I can actually use.

Spoonless #1122 here if anyone wants to add me. I've sunken deeper into Dark Souls 2 right now, but I go back to D3 every once in a while. I love the Crusader.

I too am mildly tempted to play some more D3. I wish it had native controller support for the PC version though. I had a monk and a demon hunter both in Inferno when I quit.

All the clicking and WASDing are hard on my hands though. I might do it anyway for some variety to see the new loot system.

Croaker#1980. I sent a friend request to those who posted their tag above.

I'm loving the new content patch, as well as the changes that preceded it (closing AH, bumping drop rates, making drops more likely to be usable by your toon, etc.). I joined a clan for giggles right at the Season 1 launch, and was level 70 in 5 hours. I'm now up to T4, but I'll probably plateau here for a while while I increase my survivability. And I'd love to get a Mirrorball, and some other +fire damage gear (apparently lightning builds are crap in T6).

Almost lost my Monk this night. Was pushing my limits in Greater Rifts and when I reached difficulty 13 I had two nasty packs at once. For nearly three minutes I was certain that this was it and mentally preparing for starting a new character. But my defensives plus my Templars healing kept me up somehow.

Did not push any further after that. But have my next GRift Key ready to go. Smiley: lol
Since I have all 14 of the legendary gems now it's time to upgrade them a bit.

I played for nearly an hour last night. I'm just playing the free trail, so I'm likely not getting everything. I play through the first quest sequence with a sorceress. Then started with a witch doctor. The witch doctor has some fun stuff.

I liked that the game was fast moving, with lots of stuff to kill. I like that you don't have to travel much, but still would need to set a key to move my character without continual mousing. Mousing down the path and then mousing to kill bajillions of mobs is too much mousing. I have delicate wrists.

I have to spend a few minutes figuring out settings - particularly difficulty settings. The fighting has been way easy so far.

I'm in the same boat, my Scottish heritage won't let me pay full price for this "expansion".

RoS was on sale recently (a few days after I bought it digitally OF COURSE)... on Amazon, but its always the box and I'm too lazy to keep another box around.

I started playing a bit ago myself, I haven't done any of the Seasons stuff though, since I just got my Witch Doctor to 70 and want to grind gear and paragon levels on him really, but I might get started soon. g0dless420#1546 if anyone wants to add me feel free, let me know who you are if you can :)

I'm pretty sure the box adds the game to your account, so you can forever download it from there if you want to. Because it still uses the launcher.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the box is just a useless waste of space, because you're going to use the launcher. Always on DRM and such.

I had picked up D3 for the PC and played it for a little over a month before moving on to other things. The wife and I picked up a PS4 this past weekend and I had heard good things about the console version of D3 so I grabbed that too. I'm enjoying it MUCH more so far on the PS4, although I'm not very far in -- just starting Act II on my hardcore wizard. I really don't miss all the clicking. My wrists are much happier with the controller interface.

You can also roll/dodge/whatever, which is nice.

PS4 vs. PC is a hard choice, I imagine. On the one hand, better control interface on the PS4, and dodging.

On the other hand, PC has 2.1.

They have said they are not going to. Artistic design choice preferences for the two systems etc.

I think it's to con me out of buying another copy for the console.

I played for about an hour again last night. That's about all my wrist can take. I'm already tired of breaking barrels and lifting loose floor boards in search of loot.

My bags are already full (a problem i can't ever seem to get away from), and although I set the difficulty to hard, I haven't yet even come close to anything that could be called 'challenging'. I've only got to level 11 though. I'm sure there is tougher stuff ahead, just not sure I'm going to get there.

I think I'm gonna try Guild Wars next.
