I tried reading about it once and it bored me, so I do it the regular way.

I still haven't beaten the game, lol. I only have 6/8 badges. :P

This is kinda always the point I burn out with pokemon games. I may actually seriously consider finishing this one, though, since the story (while not super significant or interesting) is possibly enough to keep me going.

Part of the problem is that I'm now at the point where pretty much all of my pokemon are fully evolved. And that's a big part of the fun for me. I can switch in a dragon or something, and have one to level up, but for the most part they're all done by the mid 30s.

The gyms might be easy but you'll definitely need to level a bit before you head to the E4. Actually, no you don't, you just have to take a level 44 scrafty and some other decently leveled pokemon and you'll wipe the floor with them.

One thing I don't like about this game is that I don't explore the whole region before I finish the game. That means you beat the E4, but there is still the entire like right side of the map you don't explore; a few towns, white forest, black city, some other new things like diving that aren't a part of the story really.

I actually like the fact that there are a lot of different areas to explore even around the low-level areas. I just got fly/surf, which then got me waterfall. And that nabbed me a bunch of new pokemon (including the dragon that evolves into Haxorus). And I can actually already get at least one of the legendaries (other than Victini).

dsi doesnt work with it either(i own one and have to change my settings to wep every time i wanna get on with it) and i somehow doubt 3ds will either

Even though the DSi supports WPA for it's basic internet functions (pretty sure it does), it still couldn't use non-WEP security when connecting online with existing games for the DS. I wonder if the 3DS will be the same way when trying to play your Nintendo DS games on it... (probably, if the pattern holds).

I almost exclusively use WPA2 connections with my DSi and I've been able to use all functions of pokemon. You're obviously just doinitrong.
