How's the population now?Follow

I haven't played in six months or so, but I'm thinking about returning next month. I was just wondering how active the population on CLW is now? I noticed that there have been some updates recently which gives me hope that this game is still going.

Don't listen to other people. Unless you got a 60 or have a group of three friends you are ******* The game is dead.

Well I used to be a hardcore EQ gamer, but now I consider myself a casual. I wish I could spend more time on EQ, but college and work as well as my life prevent me from playing games period.

I was never much of a grinder, which is why I never obtained many CMs in my entire EQ career. Still, I found the game to be extremely fun.

I plan on activating my account next week just to play for a little bit each day. I do have three 60s, two of which are tanks and another an alch.

If I had more time I'd love to have a perma group.

If you plan on playing I'd suggest visiting that site. The amount of play time you have doesn't matter nor does the date you plan on returning. As long as it isn't something stupid like 6 or 7 months down the line. To tell you the truth if everything works out I expect the group to make a guild that will be at it's peak 3 or 4 months in. Then slowly die off.

Sucks I know but it's reality.

Thanks for the replies Esva.

I reactivated one of my accounts and I wish I had heeded your advice. I've been bored since the first day I returned and I'm almost certain this will be the last time I play EQOA. That is unless I find something worthwhile to do. I don't have the patience to grind any more at level 60 for CMs. I discovered that the real fun in EQ was meeting people and leveling characters 1-30, but now that can all be done in just a few hours thanks to pickclaws and HnG quests.

Perhaps it would be more fun if I had a perma group that started from 1 and went to 60. However, like I said due to college and life it would be almost impossible for me to keep a consistent playing schedule.

I've had 5 60s in the 7 years that I've played this game and I've never reached 900 cms on any of them. I never got into CM grinding as I preferred to just explore with my characters, quest, and duel.

It's been a fun ride, but I think it's time to retire once and for all.
