Here's an article discussing the Free to Play goodness: http://www.onlinegamingradio.com/2007/08/28/free-2-play-or-f2p-is-it-the-new-mmo-catch-phrase/
Besides the link, I'm seriously hyped about the Agency. From it being PC and Console based to all the various combat modes within the game. I'm a HUGE fan of cinematics in games and gahh... I could go on and on for hours about what I've seen of this game. I was thoroughly impressed and plan to keep my eyes on its development process in anticipating for the game's release.
So at Fanfaire, I bumped into... no - I ambushed John Blakely, who I haven't seen in years, and while him and I are talking, he realizes that I live in the Seattle area, and tells me that I absolutely NEED to meet the guys from the Seattle SOE office and I NEED to see the Agency. If it weren't for John, I likely would have never gotten a glimpse at this game and holy crap am I glad that I did.
Just the presentation of the game was phenomenal. The guy who was doing it definitely had a significant amount of practice - but it wasn't anywhere nearly as exciting as the game and the potential that I saw for its future.
Yeah I'm actually in the same boat as Cal. I think I'm really excited about this game... The more I think about it the more I know I'm for certain at least trying it out when it goes live.
It isn't my usual type of game but I'm still terribly hopeful given everything I've seen.
