Having just recently purchased a new tower, I decided to loan my old shuttle to a friend who plays a ton more eq2 then I do. Well, the results are, for lack of better phrase, Fooking Incredible! Let me explain....
Having a close friend 2-box is like having a miniture guild in your back pocket. Since I play maybe an hour a day (average), he can help me progress through content that I would never see. Tonight, we will hopefully progress the Mark of the Awakened quest and finish with SoS for a bit. Our three toons are a level 70 wizzy, pally, and shaman. We can literally go anywhere we want in SoS, various instances, etc... Group stuff. With Amends on the wizzy, the pally tanks, and the shaman wards and heals. We move fast and efficiently.
Then, when real life and wife start calling, he has the rest of the evening to do whatever he wants to do. Right now he is leveling up the other alts on his accounts to level 70. Though not especially fast (like eq1) it is still many times quicker then trying to solo content or find groups.
Therefore, we both benefit greatly!
But my question is this... Are we doing something unethical? It certainly gives us a leg up on the competition. But we aren't violating anything regarding te EULA as far as I know. What would you guys do?
