Hey, first of all, is this game anything like EQOA? Used to play that, and absolutely loved it.
No, with the exception of some class names and city names very little if anything.
*The leveling system is completely different. You get double xp through a vitality system that recharges .5% every half hour(I think, correct me if wrong) that is used up as you kill stuff. Much faster then the slow grinding of eqoa.
*There is no day to day grinding.
*There are solo area and mobs set aside form tougher mobs meant for group.
*About every group is a what a mini raid would be in eqoa, attacking a dungeon *full of group specialized mobs.
*Actual raids against big stuff are much more organized.
*CM system is now Achievement points and points are made by exploring areas, killing named mobs and completing quests. Offers more choices as well.
But you can't not have of played eqoa and not like eq2. I may miss the simple simplicity of some aspects of eqoa that made it great but still love this more.
Usually there isn't a lot of competition for mobs tho, sometimes group will run into each other in dungeons but most are so complex that you can go around and rarely see another group.
Outside of dungeons you can sometimes see other people competing for mobs but usually never to the extent that it causes a problem.
