Good morning, happy campers.
It's been awhile since I've done a good morning post. I've been terribly distracted with other things. My son's basketball team starts their playoffs this week. I've had a ton of console gaming to catch up on (finally beat Twilight Princess). Just random stuff has kept me from playing. This weekend I decided it was time to sit down and get some work done.
Tooled around and solo'd on my coercer a bit. Killed a bot who was working from the exact spot that Ktok and I killed one at a while back. The rock surrounded by Blooms in Tenebrous Tangle. Must be popular among botters due to proximity of mobs and swiftness of respawning. Got an AA. Not too much to report.
Betrayed the Fae I made in order to get all the dialogue /logged to complete the Kelethin addendum to my Betrayal Guide (see my other thread). Now I can delete the character. Yay! No more fairies on my character select.
Logged in my main and joined an absolutely wicked Halls of Fate group. It worked out because I needed to kill Sothis for the Wurmslayer HQ anyhow, but holy cow was this group fast on the kills. The Frankenstein fight was literally less than 12 seconds long. Septimus wasn't much longer. Single healed by a fury, high DPS, good hate managment and everyone was on the same page with regards to anticipating each others' moves. It's groups like that that make tanking fun.
I hadn't logged in since GU#32 except for data gathering for my betrayal guide addition. So I hadn't yet had the opportunity to check out Unrest. Some folks in The League were gearing up for it and needed a tank so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm glad I did. Fun, fun fun zone. Absolute blast. Neat puzzles. Entertaining named fights. Tons of nostalgia. Just a good time all around. A nice challenge to tank. A couple deaths from wacky mishaps (like people getting knocked from the balcony in the hag room and running back with the entire room in tow), but all in all it was a smooth ride. If I had any gripe it would be the time investment required to do that zone. I wasn't intending to play as long as I did when I joined the group, but hey, it was worth it for the fun even if I didn't score any drops or upgrades.
As a side note, I sold a master for 30p. That's the most most I've ever had at one time in the game. Hopefully I can score a nice upgrade or two.
How was your weekend?
