Hello all!
With the release of vanguard: SOH I have been growing more and more hungry for an MMO that is a bit more "mature" than WoW. Don't get me wrong, I like WoW, and with the latest expansion there is actually a fair amount of new stuff to do in the game, but there is just something about the game that doesnt quite scratch the itch that all my time in EQ1 and UO left for me. Vanguard sounds really amazing, but I am hesitant to drop $50 on a game that probably wont run that well on my set up.
I bought EQ2 waaay back when it was brand new and thanks to school and work pressures, stopped playing after a while. However, now I have more free time and I just really like the epic feel of EQ2. Praising the game on a forum full of players and fans of the game seems silly, so to cut to the chase, I reopened my account last night.
Much to my surprise my old characters are still there. However, I am going to start fresh and new so to work out the kinks and get a feel for the game again.
Usually I play a ranger or a magic class, however, last night I decided to give one of the more physical classes a try and Arcturis, the human paladin was born.
I have not left the queens colony yet, but I am getting close. It feels so good to be back. :)
Anyway, I have read that many of you on these forums play on the Najena server and if you are recruiting, I would love to join a guild full of people to meet and play with. Plus I wouldnt mind getting a few tips on how to make my way through the world. :)
Lastly, I am seriously considering purchasing the splitpaw saga when I get near level 20. I hear that it has soloable instanced content that will scale in difficulty with me as I level? Is that true? Thats so cool. :)
I also hear that the bloodlines pack is "useless" by most peoples consideration. Why is this?
Thanks all and happy adventuring!
