Good morning, happy campers.
Loged in my baby defiler and did two more Craftsmen levels on my way to being the chef for my other toons. Good times. Early crafting is fun because it is deceptively quick.
Logged into Vanguard and tested combat some more. It's...odd. There's a very slow paced, almost clunky feeling to it. The interesting side-effect of this is that it all feels very laid back. Like, instead of EQ2 where it's very quick and I'm all like "YAAAAARRRRR!!! DIE! *CHOP*HACK*SLICE* RAAAARRRRR!!" in Vanguard it's more like, "*stretch* Taste my sword *yawn* evil guy...I guess". There's a very "sittin' back on yer porch" feel to combat in Vanguard. While I don't find it as engaging as EQ2 combat, I can really see the appeal for folks that are looking for a system that feels more like a past-time than a job.
How was your evening?
