I recently gave EQ2 a try after a few years on WOW and I must admit I'm having a blast. There are so many great things about this game not found in WOW (housing, better crafting system, etc).
However that said, I'm curious about a few things and wonder if you feel the same:
PET HEALTH BARS IN GROUP: Why don't pets show as party members so they can be healed easily? This was available in EQ1 so it's hard to believe they don't have it for EQ2. /sigh.
CONCENTRATION: Is the SOLE reason for concentration slots to frustrate the player? As an illusionist, I'm forced to pick and choose between which buffs I bestow upon my party? Hey I got an idea... let me use ALL my hard-earned buffs on my fellow party members. /sigh #2.
DRESSING ROOM: One thing I do wish they'd steal from WOW and use is the "Dressing Room" concept. In WOW, you can CNTL-CLICK any item (whether linked in chat, on auction house, etc) and see what your character would look like wearing it. You can do this even if the item has a level 60 requirement and you are level 3. It's so nice when shopping for a robe, etc to see what it will look like before you throw down your hard-earned cash. Another HUGE benefit would be if you could see what house items would look like in your house before you buy them. Does everyone just do the same thing I do and check out what these house items look like on eqtraders.com or everlook.com prior to buying? If there's a better way, I don't know what it is. /sigh #3.
Don't get me wrong though... I love the game. Just wish it was polished in a few more areas.
Cheers.
