Last night, several servers went down due to
too many people playing. I know, I know, sounds like a myth, but it's true. TS over at EQ2 boards stated that the expansion and Fae seem to be more popular than they were expecting and the servers couldnt handle the explosion of population. Blackburrow was one of these servers. At one point we had 4 zones of Gfay, 3 zones of Lfay, etc. If you tried zoning out, you would freeze.

A few servers have had intermittent outages this evening during peak usage times, as those of you who play on the servers in question have undoubtedly noticed.
So you know what's going on:
We're seeing a whole lot of new load with the release of EoF. We knew that we'd be seeing some of that, and most servers are doing perfectly all right.
However, on the servers that still remain too loaded, we're rebalancing that load on the backend to try to ensure this doesn't happen again tomorrow.
