EXP'ing in the late 50's just stinks. It takes forever to get any sort of movement on the exp bar. Soloing (with a Pally) is a slow, painful process. An hour of work will garner about 5% exp without any quest dings. Not exactly conducive for people who can't spend hours a day playing.
After a good weekend of EQ2, I have some thoughts and questions on the matter for anyone interested....
I group with a Level 70 Wizzy who mentors down to my level (58).
1.) Fastest EXP with that group/level combo is the third level of Clefts of Rujark in Sinking Sands. Triple up herioc Orcs that are level 53 & 54. Pally wards and draws aggro. Wizzy nukes and roots adds. Rince and Repeat. Unfortunately, we didn't try this zone until about an hour before I had to leave. Still made about 30% exp in an hour which is HUGE!
2.) Slowest EXP was Tenebrous Tangle. The few quests we did helped but the Mobs were too strong for our combo to make EXP'ing worth while.
3.) Seemed to us that green and blue "triple ups" were the best exp. Not sure if that was from the recent Update that increased the exp of green mobs.... We couldn't handle yellow or orange mobs so we can't say so for sure.
4.) Poets Palace was a cool place for loot but the exp was slow there, also...
Can anyone add to this thread ?
