i would go with barbarian because that HP and STAT can help you later in the game i mean its pointless till 40 and so on but if you are looking to make a weird character like a rat or something your going to need a sh*t load of money just for HP which is stupid as hell. If you of went ahead and picked a barb they are balanaced and you can not worry about HP or mana at all and worry about one stat only. but if you have alot of money and dont want to be worth a **** go rat gnome or whatever. Want to be good go barb or orge only thing about orge they have no agil which agil helps with dodge but you pick...
I hope no one takes any notice of this post.
Various races have slight stat advantages at the beginning, but these all become more irrelevent the further you progress in levels. They're such small numbers they become meaningless after level 20 and are evened up across the races by stats on armour.
You won't need a heap of money to compensate for your original stats. This applies to all classes.
If you love Barbarians for the look, then go ahead and play one, but be warned you won't be unique, there are a ton of 'em running around
As for ogres not having any agility, well agility is not a Guardian stat anyway. We don't need to specialise in dodging, it's our job to get hit
