I loved Allakhazam's website when I was playing EQ1. I was on it everyday. However, now that I'm playing EQ2, this website is not worth the $$
I'd have to say I agree with this - the value just isn't there. I used Alla all the time for *years* on EQ1, and I didn't have the slightest issue with paying for it. When I switched to WoW, I was pleased to find that Alla was still a very useful resource, and kept up my premium sub. In that game, too, when people were asking for help with quests, equipment, etc, I'd send a tell to "check out allakhazam.com". But for EQ2, there's just very little here. Its not just this site - pretty much every EQ2 site I've seen is vestigial and poorly maintained - except for OGaming. Yeah, I know, plat sellers are bankrolling it, but at least it has some useful content.
I would very much prefer to get my EQ2 help here, and would be happy to keep paying for a subscription. But there needs to be a *lot* more useable information here for that to be worthwhile. If he can do it for EQ1 and WoW, he can do it for EQ2. Word gets around - if the content is here, the traffic will increase, the subs will go up - everybody wins. The EQ2 community clearly feels a need for a good site, or OGaming would not be doing so well. I hope one of the "good guys" like Alla will give us a better alternative.
