...with my 31 Warden in RoV, crawling for named mobs with another 2-boxer running a Guardian and Wizard. We hit up the Weavemaster a few times and got master chests...2 steel clusters, a few Ad1 books, armor, and 1 Master 29 Troubador spell.
I won the lotto for the master book and prompty mailed it to my 22 Troubador upon returning.
A bit later, I logged on my Trouby which has become a 27 Woodworker. Actually, this was supposed to be my guild-only character, but we can't seem to get together regularly anymore. :( So he's been crafting for a long while.
I stopped by the broker and picked up a few Ad1 upgrades and reviewed my hotbars. It took about 15 minutes of reviewing and sorting to finally get them all settled. It seemed I had old abilities still up, and had no clue what my current abilities are. A quick review at the guild bank showed a Quiver available, which I scooped up.
Spells all set, I took the A-boat to Thundering Steppes to try my mettle. I easily dispatched a few crabs near the docks and was pleased. I knew, though, that I was not using all my skills to the best ability, and decided to move into the riverbed for bigger fish. Up to now I hadn't used a bow shot, stealth attack, or rear attack.
A met a few blue-v skeletons and pulled with my bow shot. That went well. Next mob I stunned and jumped behind for a rear attack...it worked! Next mob I stealthed and started with a high damage attack.
I was soon able to take those blue skeletons with one "round" of skills - using each skill only once before it was dead.
Bolstered with new-found confidence and immunity to all forms of harm, I decided to try a yellow skeleton (level 25). It intimidated me with a large first hit, and I fumbled over and couldn't find my rear-attack...needless to say, I ran for the docks.
Determined, I headed back. Started with a stealth attack, followed with 2 debuffs, then a stun-rear attack, then 2 HO's, 2 AE songs, another stun-rear attack...and won! Of course I was down to about 4% health, but I was feeling good. :)
I practiced those skills and combos a bit longer before logging for the night, ending up with about 15% exp gained.
Blasted alt's... :/
