For a laptop, I strongly urge you to check again your owner's manual as to the type of memory to use. 184-pin DIMMs are for DESKTOP PCs, not laptops. You'll need a SODIMM, which is somewhat more expensive, but a much much smaller footprint. Space is at a premium in a laptop.
I've never seen a laptop that used normal Desktop memory.
I personally wouldn't buy from A-DATA either; go with Corsair, Kingston, Samsung, Toshiba, Infineon, or next tier Apacer and PQI. I've personally had problems with A-DATA.
