Unfortunetly, that is a pretty limited demo. I was not very impressed with EQ2 when I was on the Isle below level 6 (which is all you can get to in that demo). But, I did become impressed once I left the Isle, got to my actual class (not the Archetype you are limited to on the Isle), and went out into the main zones (ie level 10 areas +).
If you have a little bit of money to spend to check out EQ2, I would suggest shopping around for the boxed version, which you can find for as low as $19.99 where I live (price at Wal-Mart in TN). It comes with a full, unrestricted free month (up to a $14.99 value, depending on how much time you buy at once), so it is almost like getting the boxed set for $5. Have fun!
