Or maybe more important, is my logic sound?
Meat:
I am trying to figure out the most cost effective method for buying a tier 2 horse. My guild is about to hit lvl 20 so using PSP will soon become a viable option.
Potatos:
Buying a horse for straight cash works out to 3 plat & change, (3p, 68g, 64s),
Buying the same horse for cash + status works out to 2 plat & change + 80,000 psp. (80000sp, 2p, 7g, 36s)
My question then becomes whether 80,000 PSP > or = 1.6 plat.
Here is my computation, (I'm working with rough numbers - close is fine):
Trade skill writs net me cash, (160% of cost), plus just under 2000 points each. 2000 X 40 (jobs) = 80,000 points.
40 jobs @ 10 items each = 400 items made.
At an average of 1.5 gold per item, I would make 600 gold from the sale of these items to players. (Assume that I could get that much and that I could sell that many)
600 gold < 1.6 plat (savings for using status) So, even assuming the best possible outcome, I will still save a substantial amount of cash by doing the writs and using PSP
Does that sound correct?
